Rush Limbaugh:

“I just slapped myself. I’m torturing myself right now. That’s torture according to these people.”

I’ve got a better idea. If he wants to really experience what it’s like, he should allow himself to be accosted when he least expects it, dragged out of his studio, blindfolded, grappled in a choke hold until he can barely breathe, then smacked across his fat fucking mouth and jaw until he cries like a baby. It’s a torture technique mentioned in the May 30, 2005 OLC memo called the “attention grasp.”

    I think that’s how he got this way in the first place. Although he has absolutely no grasp of how to get my attention. I guess the attention grasp wasn’t all that successful.

    Wow, I started to write a little torture scenario for Fatboy, but it started to scare me a little, so I stopped. Let’s just say it would have made the torture scene in Reservoir Dogs look tame.All the motherfuckers that say that torture produces good intelligence just need to listen to John McCain talk about his experiences in the Hanoi Hilton. John McCain enduring probably the worst pain a human being could endure, still had the presence of mind to recite the names of the offensive linemen of the Pittsburgh Steelers, when asked who his commanders were. Was that good intelligence?

    thruwithbuzz: you need to keep in mind a fundamental part of these people’s thinking: Americans are Special. Torture is effective, but not on Americans, because we’re Special and Heroic. Hell, even if we do the same things the Vietnamese did to McCain, it’s not torture, because Americans are Special and above such things.

    This is a complete projection on my own worse torture scenario: Tie him down in the blazing sun. Rub his skin with fiberglass insulation, face indluded. Then, dump honey(organic) from head to toe, all over his obese body. Finally, unleash a pack of fire ants, and let ‘em do their thang.Let him bake for at least an hour.     Why would anyone in their right mind defend torture? Torture is nothing but a sadistic tool of Empire and small-minded thugs.Why sadistic? Because apparently it produces no real actionable intelligence. And, coereced confessions are not admissable as evidence in court.So, then what is the motive to torture other than sadism if there is no real intelligence gain or advantage?Therefore, Limbaugh’s position becomes nothing less than the epitome for American Exceptionalism.Dick Cheney’s position on torture producing actionable intelligence seems to have been the driving force behind this Right-Wing pathetic nonsense.If Rush is pushing views at such odds with American-signed international treaties maybe he needs to be held accountable for his actions.
