Pew Research circled back around and polled on the president’s religion to determine how many idiots still believe he’s a Muslim (he’s not).

Shockingly, the overall split has barely changed since October. 48 percent think he’s Christian (he is!) and 11 percent think he’s Muslim. And the requisite Not Paying Attention category: 35 percent simply don’t know. Why? A plurality of the “don’t know” group said “they don’t know enough about him.” (As an aside, in Pew’s September poll, 1 percent thought Barack Obama was Jewish.)

Not shockingly, evangelicals and Republicans are still the two groups most likely to believe the president is a Muslim. Doy! College grads and non-Hispanic Catholics were most likely to answer correctly.

    I wish they’d simply stop polling issues like this instead of reinforcing the idea that A) it’s anybody’s fucking business which Supernatural Sky Lord he believes in and B) that it should even matter in a Secular Republic like our own. The U.S. Constitution™ doesn’t give a shit if the President worships the Flying Spaghetti Monster, so let’s stop polling Mr. and Mrs. Joe Q. Dumbfuckingham on this matter, shall we?
