The Case For AB 390

by Lee Stranahan

AB 390 is the California State Assembly Bill that would decriminalize marijuana in The Holden State. My new video piece is up at the Hufintgton Post : 5 Benefits To Legal Weed (& The 1 Big Thing Stopping It). Please inhale it.

If you haven’t listened to the full podcast version of last night’s radio show, really interesting stuff after the live feed ended talking to GiTheJoe – who will be our guest for the full hour next week. You’ll learn about the state of medical marijuana in California, how the Iraq troops felt about private contractors, and Bob fills us in on ‘taint smuggling’.

But but how will my local police department raise the money to buy a M113 if there is no drug money to seize?Let’s offer the police part of the tax revenue and get them all fuel-cell powered vehicles to race around in. Maybe with shiny new toys they will actually become interested in pulling over drunk drivers and cruising around investigating violent crime rather than harvesting money to buy military equipment with by purposefully fighting an ineffective war on drugs.

There could be a shift of workers and management from the prison/industrial complex to the hemp and marijuana industry. A transition from the oppression society to the productive community endeavor would be a good thing. And for QT’s benefit the first step would be shifting the funding to “contextualized medicinal (or ritual) experiences”. Although I’d just bet that many users currently have ritualized their use.

It would be nice if this action could start a wave of reform across the U.S. Illinois is even considering medical marijuana.

Ron Paul, 2012 presidential candidate wants to legalize marijuana. Go to his website, check it out. Barack is going anywhere with this issue. Too much opportunity for govt. spending in the war on drugs.

Obama and Holder hhave already announced that the federal government will not override state laws regarding cannabis whether they be decriminalization or medical cannabis laws. The feds running rampant over the wishes of a state were a BushCo policy.Bob42 please take your wrong wing propaganda to Hot Air, Free Republic, or some other place with with misinformed drooling morans.

One of the most recent was Massachusetts, where offenders receive a civil fine of $100 instead of being charged with a crime.
