Who? Us?

Another Republican talking about shooting people. Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) this time:

“I think that the decision to raise taxes by 50 percent in Illinois is political suicide,” Kirk said of Quinn’s proposal to raise the tax rate to 4.5 percent from 3 percent, coupled with an increase in the personal deduction. “I think the people of Illinois are ready to shoot anyone who is going to raise taxes by that degree.”

And if someone actually follows through, you can bet the congressman will be at the front of the line to cry: “Who me?” You know, the party of “personal responsibility” and all that.

Oh, and ThinkProgress adds:

Last June, Kirk mistakenly referred to then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) as “Osama,” saying that he supports a policy “where if we see Obama there’s a shoot-on-sight order.”

Classy.

Heh, Ted Kennedy drunkenly called him Osama several times on the senate floor.. nobody has a trademark on that slipup..I”m ready to shoot anyone who points a gun at me first.. anyone who breaks into my house in the middle of the night.. anyone who harms my family.. but even though I’m an evil right wing extremist, I won’t be shooting anyone who raises my taxes.Note the good Rep. Kirk is NOT a wild eyed southern boy.. he’s from Illinois. So much for the goofball Dem bias against the south.

“Goofball Dem bias” against the south? The south is our new stomping grounds, haven’t you heard? Now the GOP goofball bias against reality, truth, equality and goodwill – that’s worth discussing, and trying to eradicate.

I have no bias against the south.I have not respect for people that go off half cocked over misinformation that they choose to believe to be true without one iota of fact checking simply because the misinformation has been designed to play to *their* biases. How many tea baggers realized that they just had the biggest income tax cut in their lifetimes?Explain why they don’t know this?Do you really believe the people telling this misinformation give a fuck about you? It’s easier to blame democrats and a black President for everything that’s wrong than it is to actually think, isn’t it?My bias is against mindless sheeple that allow themselves to be led around by their nose rings by their corporatist overlords who feed them delusional claptrap to keep them riled up against their own best interests.I also have a bias against a political party that sees it’s only chance of regaining POWER to be the torpedoing of policies needed to improve the economy. They know that they must make the economy worse while blaming the worsening on the President’s new policies our else their own ideology will have been proven for the complete load of bollocks that it is.If you want to cheer for people that want things to get worse, because it won’t effect them, and their blatant disregard for the pain and suffering already being felt by thousands of citizens and the even larger number that will be effected if they succeed in undermining the Presidents efforts, then you are an ass.

Dear “Dave”: racism is everywhere and it’s afflicted every state. But thanks to the actions of southerners themselves, it’s always safer to play racist with a southern accent.
