Don’t Know Nuthin’ ‘Bout No al-Qaeda

Bob pointed out in his piece on Morning Torture that Liz Cheney said we didn’t no anything about al-Quaeda on 9/12.

Well, at least the Cheneys have got their talking points straight.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Dick because of the video work I’ve been doing for MoveOn and this is something that Cheney repeats, a lot. “We didn’t know much about al-Qaeda after 9/11.” Then he reminds us of 9/11 – you remember, it was bad. Cheney spends a minute or so churning up fear and then pivots neatly into the idea that we need enhanced intortura-gation techniques.

What he’s doing became obvious to me. He’s trying to set up a 24 type scenario; an emergency where we HAD to get the info so we had no choice. Waterboard those bastards or we lose downtown Los Angeles!

One problem (aside from the blatant lie that we didn’t know much about al-Qaeda on 9/12); the timeline. People like KSM weren’t captured until well after the ‘emergency’ of 9/11. But Cheney talks fast enough that he’s hoping most people won’t notice.

    also, wasn’t cheney one of the ones that said something about clinton not “taking care” of the situation?! and i just have to say this again…we were attacked ON THEIR WATCH! i’m going to lose it if they keep up the “we’ve kept you safe since 9.11″ shit. so far so good with obama as well you fuckheads! (i always get nervous saying stuff like that. hehe)

    When Clinton tried to take care of it, he received no support from the GOP, who was intent on distracting the world with grand jury investigations into blow jobs.

    thank you ceu–I say that every time I hear that. Clinton had him after the Cole, but they said he was just trying to distract the country from his idiotic blow jobs.

    The republicans consider oral sex to be grounds for impeachment.The democrats will let you wipe your feet on the constitution, rig an election in Ohio, replace all voting machines with ones that can be easily hacked, and violate dozens of laws and none of that is worthy of impeachment except to one member of congress – Dennis Kucinich. He’s the only one we have who isn’t an oath breaker.

    Nah, some of us noticed that the man is fronting, Lee.They’re still seeking to be seen as heroes, but, they’ll settle for not being tried for war crimes just to be safe.Oh, but Cheney…he’s solid gone, baby, gone.And, yes, have you noticed that he’s thrusting himself publically as if he was actually running shit for those eight years? Hell, Bush is chilling like he got over a hump, while Cheney’s out there defending the legacy and whatnot.I wouldn’t want Bush 43 in a foxhole with me, that’s for sure.
