by Lee Stranahan

The Republicans have wasted no time in promoting Michael Steele’s recent statement that gay marriage is a threat to small business.

So we should discriminate against gays and deny them equal protection because equal protection will cost business more. They are 8% of the population so this is not going to cost any company very much unless they have an all gay payroll. This really shows how the republicans think. It might cost me money so you have to allow me to discriminate. Steele is despicable. Corporatist Tool Steeeeeeele. Mikey Aluminuminuminuminum.

Just when you think they can’t say anything stupider than, say, Michele Bachmann…I like the use of Aaron Copland music as well. BTW, Copland? Gay.

So is it bad for small businesses when a hetro employee gets married? I guess we are lucky these knuckle heads just spew whatever comes into their heads.

My question exactly, vintagegoddess! And… I’m not sure if I should say “welcome,” “welcome back,” or “good to see you” on the blog… :-) QT

Well, the solution is clear. We should just ban all marriage. It’ll be a huge boon to small business, except for the wedding industry.

More pennies over moral principles, that’s the Conservative motto. I’m sure gay people love how their rights are being utterly trivialized by the right when it talks about denying them those rights based on percieved added expenditures, and does so with a collective straight face. I really don’t see how any gay person could be a Republican. I just don’t get it, at all.

Filing jointly means you pay MORE taxes, not LESS, A-HOLE.Not to mention FEWER benefits. Christ, if you’d only check your facts before you open your mouth you’d be much less effed.
