Holy Fucking Shit!

This:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

By the way, there are many, many, many rapists, homicidal maniacs and other assorted crazies currently being held in prisons in all of these states. I don’t think a few terrorists will collapse the wackaloon curve America’s penal system. Sorry, Pat Roberts. And unless all of these $50 million supermax prisons absolutely suck, I think Kansans will be safe. Come to think of it, Senator Roberts, you didn’t waste your constituent’s money on a shitty prison, did you?

The Republicans think that disingenuous fear mongering might work, even though it’s already failed.

Adding… Oh shit! Look at all of the Nazi prisoners that were held on American soil during World War II. Break out the scary O Fortuna music!

Please tell me thats not a serious video. Please tell me its actually some kind of dark humored mockery. These “terrorists” (how many of them actually are? and how many are just accused enemy combatents?) should be the ones who are afraid. They would probably have to be kept in solitary confinement just to keep them from being killed by our own breed of psychos we have in this country.

Unfortunately, Bob, unless a counter message comes out QUICKLY – something stirring, patriotic, and sounding like we of the US of A kick serious butt – this is going to work.QT

Theres no way thats going to work. Its a total cheesefest. Just listen to that music and the line spewed at the end by Roberts. Good thing he never became an actor, that would be a short career.

The Republican Party has become a study of Pathos. When you think that they can’t be any more pathetic than they just were, woah, yes they can.We should surround them with teleprompters that all say “Stop being lame” over and over. They should be required to wear clown makeup and orange wigs as visible indication of what they actually are.GOP: Giant Overdose of Pathos

  • ElMystico

I’m pretty sure the music is from Carmina Burana. You know, for accuracy’s sake.QT- Did you see Rachel Maddow tonight? She showed a response video showing all the scary prisoners that are already imprisoned in the states. Nothin’ like the internet age for rapid response.

Mystico – Yes, and according to the Department of Justice website, in 2008 there was 2.34 million in prison in the US with 53% being for violent crime.

    Feargasmic!

  • http://americanrazor.blogspot.com Razor

You would think all these pro-torture neocons would LOVE to have these terrorists held right here in the United States. There’s no better place for corrupt officials to beat and torture a prisoner than a good ol’ fashion American prison.Where do you think those “bad apples” from Abu Ghraib learned those kind of tactics? Working in American prisons. You see, with things like Guantanamo, there’s all kinds of federal red tape to worry about. But here in American prisons, we can ship our criminals to any backwoods state and let their hillbilly corrections officers have a good ol’ time.Do you think Joe Arpaio isn’t getting a hard-on at the thought of bringing in some foreign terrorists?

  • http://zirgar.blogspot.com/ ZIRGAR

Oh, great! The terror suspects get detained in nice safe prisons, while the rest uf us are stuck out here with the rightwing nutjobs. That’s not fair!

  • http://tarackian.deviantart.com J M Ashby

Good one ZirgarThat makes me think… I beta operating gautanomo costs a hell of a lot more than if the detainees were stuck in an american prison cell. Shouldn’t republicans be for reducing costs?Oh wait they havent cared about reducing costs for half a century.

  • rick390

Our prison system was good enough for the likes of one Timothy McVeigh. I think it can handle Guantanamo’s finest.

Here is an excellent response to the Crazy™

  • Mark

I just found it interesting that they didn’t use any FOX News clips in their montage… I’m thinking it was a conscious decision

The problem isn’t that the terrorists would put any US citizen in danger merely by being in one of our prisons. The problem is, due to the criminal’s fucked up sense of patriotism, that the moment those prisoners step inside a US jail, they will be marked men. Can you imagine how much of an in-prison- hero a common criminal would become if he murdered one of these detainees? Please, tell me someone in your party has thought this all the way through.Does this really have to be explained to you?

  • bjritz

    Thanks Wolfe, made my day!

  • rogect8

@ppp – Oh, gosh-gee-golly. Thanks for stopping by to explain things to us!On a completely unrelated note, have you ever heard of “solitary confinement?”

  • MZ

PPP, once again you’re reinterpreting right-wing kookiness to fit your own viewpoint. Or are you seriously saying that your point is that ad’s message?Your point s not entirely without validity, though, mainly because solitary confinement is itself a pretty cruel practice, one that led to some of the serious criticisms of how Gitmo is run.But let me ask you this: Where should these prisoners go? Let’s say I’m, like, any country in the world, and you’re a US congressman. You tell me: “See, our army has captured a bunch of guys that we officially consider to be the worst of the worst, but their legal status is uncertain, we might not try them for years and years, and really, for a lot of these guys, we shouldn’t have custody of them at all. We don’t think we’ll be re-elected if any of us allow them to be held in our home states, but we want to control these prisoners anyway or else we’ll be thought of as soft. So here’s my idea: we’ll hold them in YOUR country, but we’ll build and staff the prison. Deal?”I would be, let’s say, unimpressed.

  • Liem

You’re not taking this seriously enough. Don’t you know that terrorists have superpowers and no American prison can contain them? Only through legal loopholes can terrorists be imprisoned safely.

During WWII we had several hundred German war prisoners who were quartered in the county fair grounds where my Grandfather, who I resided with, was the caretaker. They were employed mostly to pick sugar beets and other harvest duties. Ours was just one location throughout the USA. If we can maintain several thousand war prisoners we should be able to house a few hundred terrorist in facilities that are a lot more secure than a county fairgrounds.
