Well, Jesse’s opinion on this issue certainly carries considerably more weight than Dick Cheney’s or Rush Limbaugh’s or Sean Hannity’s (still waiting for him to get waterboarded for charity) or any of the other rightwing blowhards who say it’s not that terrible, yet never ask why it was used if it isn’t all that terrible. Odd.

Every second of this video is pure awesome.I especially love when King says, “enough with Bush already” (by the way, fuck you, Larry King) and Ventura basically says, “hell no.”This baby belongs in the Morning Awesome Hall of Fame.

Oops. I wrote too soon. I didn’t finish the final 15 seconds.A big “hell no” to “enormous respect for Colin Powell.”

Love this…but wtf is up with Larry King? First he tries to get him off the Bush subject then tries to defend waterboarding (you know you’re know gonna die, right?)

That was 15 minutes of the BEST Larry King ever..Sorry I ran out on everyone last night… it was my turn to lose power for the evening with storms .. had some really bad ones here last night.. lots of damage around.. finally got power back on around midnight.. was off for 5 hours.

MG, the reason for his respect to Colin Powell is obvious if you hear the entire clip… it is because he at least served in the military..As opposed to Cheney, Rush and some of the other low life’s who talk all the time.. That’s why he said that.

Annette -Sorry to hear you lost power for so long. I had no electricity from 7 to 8:30 pm. I’m near Tampa.

Here’s where Powell lost me: He didn’t stay true to his principles when he knew cheney/bush et al were doing things that were illegal and immoral. He has been praised for being loyal to a fault, but he put his loyalty to the man who appointed him over his loyalty to the Country.

BTW, His oath of office as Secretary of State, like his oath as an officer, does not include the line from the enlisted oath about obeying the orders of the President.

Jesse Ventura waterboarding Dick Cheney is a pay-per-view I’d gladly pay to see!! LOL

Can we get “mean” Gene Okerlund to guest host for Larry King one of these times Jesse’s on? I’d like to see Ventura (wearing sunglasses, a feather boa, and jewelry) pointing at the camera and lecturing Dick Cheney directly. In all seriousness, having him for our governor was such a love/hate relationship for us Minnesotans. When his stupid temper and his need for national attention (all leftovers from his former profession, I guess) got the better of him, he’d lose focus and turn into an idiot. He let the (apparently ruthless) Twin Cities media get to him and it drove him to say some of the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard. Other times he would show flashes of complete excellence with his moderate, logical policies… or appointing people to positions in his administration that were (ghasp!) HIGHLY QUALIFIED, regardless of their party or politics. He had thoughtful responses ready for any policy question and he ALWAYS did what he promised to do or work on.You guys should have seen him in the Gubernatorial debates. He chewed Norm Coleman (yes, that one) and Hubert Humprhey’s kid to bits. They thought they could just stick to their preprogrammed answers and ignore the third party guy. (you can listen to archived audio here if you’re determined – sorry I couldn’t find a video clip handy)Part of me would like to see him in the Senate, but that would mean he’d have to unseat Franken or Klobuchar. No thanks.
