Mike H.I think you can laud and be critical of the president. In both instances, I think it is essential to understand why he made a certain decision or chose a certain direction. I think it’s important to put context into particular issues. I don’t wrong people who are critical of the president, I think they should be when warranted, but my issue lately has been that it seems as if people are panicking if he doesn’t go a certain way. He doesn’t automatically appeal DADT – that’s not change; He continues military tribunals – he’s President Barack O’Bush (neglecting to mention that detainees will get many rights that they were not given under Bush).I’m always critical of anyone in government, whether left or right, but I will always try to understand someone’s position even if it is ridiculous, but that’s just me I guess. Right now, people make it seem as though he’s trying to be deceitful or secretive, when I think he’s handling certain issues with care and patience .I think the Bush years really fucked this country up so bad and we had to endure it for so long, that we just want things to happen now with the snap of a finger, but it doesn’t work that way.

And dammit, it is OK to criticize the Obama administration, otherwise we become a bunch of pantywaist, triangulating weenies like the US Senate. Why are a bunch of the assholes who caused our economy to collapse in charge of the fucking Treasury? Am I the only one who doesn’t have problems with Explorer?As long as you dont install a bunch of nonsense toolbars and scripts it runs fine.If you’re worried about security, just stop going to pr0n sites. Be careful on torrent sites though.

explorer was ok, but then I got firefox and it is way better. of course, today it isn’t being nice to me at all. it apparently has a problem with FB and/or me.

Vera, have you tried Google’s new browser?Barring that, have you added any extensions to Firefox? I’ve kept it nice and trouble-free with a scriptblocker.

I would suggest Opera.If you use Google Chrome, every site you visit is reported back to Google central. They will know everything you do with your browser. Same thing with IE.What are your problems with Firefox?

noscript works well. I consider that a required addon.

it is very slow and has started “not responding” a lot. I haven’t added anything in a while and my internet service hasn’t changed.That was my worry with google Git. I love that firefox has the spell check on everything I type and the preview thingy. That is why I couldn’t go back to explorer. I also like the way when you close your browser it opens again to the pages you had open the last time.I have ad block installed. that is different from script? I am so not computer savvy.

adblock does not block scripts embedded directly in the web page, only the ads and associated scripts. noscript can be configured to block all scripts. I think there is documentation for it somewhere that explains everything it does in pretty simple turns.It sound like that’s what you need. Flash is the source of my problems. I have to have it to see videos and other streaming media. It is the only software I have for which I do not have the source code for and it is the only thing I have problems with. That figures. Adobe’s support for Linux is shite.

thanks Git. I read the little bit on firefox’s site. I will go look elsewhere for that. Flash gives me trouble too, I don’t remember it doing that with explorer.
