how is everyone this fine holiday weekend? I just got done watching “No Country for Old Men”. I am not sure if I thought it was good or great.

Of the five people I started watching “Old Men” with, only I made it to the end. And I was like, What? That’s it? Over-hyped imo.

Yo what are they doing in NYC? The FBI lets loose an “informant” into a Muslim community and badda bing badda boom, 6 months later they have busted a terror ring. The four black Americans arrested were a motley crew, one surely was mentally ill, the other three were petty criminals. After reading several articles, notably in the Jew York Times, it is apparent that the FBI informant coerced there four into planting bombs at a synagogue.Now the NYPD, the FBI, and the escapee from the midget car of the Barnum and Bailey circus, Bloomberg, can all give each other high fives for the big bust until their soft white hands turn pink.What’s wrong with you crackers anyway?

I just finished watching W. I think it was very good. Josh Brolin was great.

I thought No Country was great. If you didn’t understand the ending, then you would probably end up wondering why its over. When hes talking about his father waiting for him up ahead at the end, what hes saying is he knows the pyscho guy is coming to kill him.

The agent that led the investigation on the Terror Plot Against NY Synagogues is apparently a notorious flake. He’s led over a dozen similar investigations where rather fraudulent claims were made at having solved some evil terror plot were made, but actual evidence showed that the perps wouldn’t have been able to blow themselves up if you handed them a hand grenade with the pin removed. The guy specializes in framing the ‘less than bright’ so the FBI has something to prove that they are “keeping us safe.” I forgot where I saw that.

I really enjoy Brolin in everything. He’s really an exceptional actor. Maybe I like him because he likes to drunk and bar fight, jury’s out I suppose…..

I have been impressed by Josh Brolin’s acting in every role I’ve seen him in. I don’t really care what he does in his spare time as long as he’s not waterboarding detainees.

I concur. Although it is slightly hilarious that he got into a bar fight while filming “W.”

TERMINATOR REVIEW:

**Potential Spoilers (honestly this bullshit spoils itself)**

After just watching Terminator Salvation the only question I have is: “Well, what was the god damn point of that?” Seriously, the only person in the movie theater who enjoyed it was the drunk guy who was sitting directly behind me. Let me tell you, he was having a great time unlike the rest of the audience. The problem with this movie is that there really is no reason for its existence. Nothing was explained about how everything came to be with in the Terminator plot, other than there will be more robots than the other movies said. That and GNR’s “You Should Be Mine” still irritates the shit out of the Cyborgs.

The dialog is laughable. The only scenes that didn’t feel like you were actually watching cardboard come to life were that between John Connor (Christian Bale) and Mrs. John Connor (Dallas Bryce Howard). It was interesting watching the two of them think/talk things out in the, er one maybe two scenes. Everyone else just throws cliche’s at the audience with no feeling or uses the same recycled action dialog. When people are talking, its a god damn mess.

This brings me to the second problem of this movie, the action (or lack there of). There are three maybe four action sequences. That’s it. This is a two hour movie with shitty dialog people. Four action sequences that are about five minutes in length are NOT going to cut it. When there was action, it was fabulous. Nothing new of course (because it’s in the hands of McG, a director who has found something he’s good at and is sticking to what he knows. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; there is just nothing new or exciting visual wise.). There seriously was not nearly enough. Sure the motorcycles were cool, sure the planes were cool too, but sadly underused. Especially since this movie takes place in nine years!! If you’re selling me bullshit wrapped in bacon, it had better be crisp and there had better be lots of it.

The other issues are that John Connor is apparently invencible surviving in not one but TWO helecopter crashes and the new “Terminator” wants to make sweet Cyborg love with female lead. That and the Govenator has a likeness in this picture. Yep, they made a CGI Arnold Schwarzenegger folks. Here’s a quick tip, balance the state of California’s fucking budget before you extend your cinema presence ass hole.

So, if you’re venturing out to the movies this weekend, see Star Trek again. Otherwise save yourself $12 and rent T2.

There is a commercial jingle on Taiwanese television that is designed to sound sorta like the Beatles, except the song sucks and the lyrics are dumber than moon-spoon-June in their nonsensical rhyming…They play it the fucking thing incessantly, sometimes twice in the same break.Oddly, I think, given the choice between Dick Cheney and these bastards, I’d waterboard the jingle monsters.
