Answer for Amato

Amato asks:

Why do we have to hear Republican objections to health-care reform all day long on TV?

Answer: Bathtubs and boners.

The healthcare industry finances a considerable chunk of cable news ad revenue — as evidenced in the variety of commercials featuring formerly impotent men reclining naked in bathtubs that festoon scenic locations (and the like).

True story:I got a call once at my old job. A 70-some year old man refilling his boner pills. His wife called back about five minutes later and asked in hushed voice: “can you please just not SEND him those things anymore?”

The old farts in the bathtubs still kill me. Are old people really taking baths on the shore of the lake just before taking their boner pills?

Anyone know how much government money already goes to pay for viagra under the military healthcare system? I remember reading some ridiculous number in a base newspaper once. It got attention because people were complaining about only getting 10 pills / month. Too bad birth control wasn’t always so easy to get.

then there’s also the ton of money spent on fertility treatments. Maybe if you can’t get pregnant, teh jeebus doesn’t want you to for a reason?

Can someone please explain the bathtub thing to me please? I’ve never understood it and I don’t know why they use it other than to form an association with the product. Have you ever had sex in a bathtub? It’s very uncomfortable!
