Apples And Stupid

Senator Grassley was on MSNBC today saying that because 80 percent of the American public is satisfied with their health insurance, the public option would “upset the apple cart.”

For a response, I give you John Amato:

If 80% of the people are satisfied with the insurance they have then why would they leave it for a public option?

Grassley doesn’t support a public option because people would like it and dump their private insurance in favor of it.Gee, I wonder why.Blatant corporatist.

But hey, at least Grassley’s “NO NAIL!”

I suppose Grassley thinks the 20% who aren’t satisfied with their health insurance can just go screw themselves. If we can keep the GOP out of power for a decent amount of time, we may just be able to break – or at least loosen – Corporate America’s grip on Washington.

80 percent of the American public is satisfied with their health insuranceonly about 83% of the American public even has health insurance – so all the horror stories about denied benefits and rising costs are coming from just 3% of the public? I think not.
