Harry Reid Grows Half a Ball

Some good news…

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he’ll ditch bipartisanship in the Senate if it means getting a health care reform bill.

“As important as bipartisanship is – and it is very important – it’s not as important as helping the millions of Americans that have no health insurance.”

Bipartisanship isn’t very important. The United States was built upon fierce partisanship. Nevertheless, Harry Reid is right (choke, cough) and I’m glad that if he’s finally going to take a stand on something, it’s this issue.

Bill Clinton said yesterday or day before he hoped this was what happened..maybe he inspired him.. I sure hope they stick to it. Reid needs his ass kicked at least once an hour for about a week, then maybe he will have the balls to stand up and do something.I would even volunteer to do the kicking.

Should be “would happen” not happened.. goodness..

So he says…But whenever he says something ballsy he puts them back in his purse and capitulates rather than actually fight for it. Maybe he’s for real this time, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I have finally come to realize that, in Washington, the word “bipartisanship” is code for “corporate-controlled”.

Well, I hope he sticks to what he said and not get cold feet at the last minute.

Bipartisanship is a word thrown around to please voters – in practice, it means ‘let’s cave in to every Republican demand and totally screw the bill.’ I’m heartily sick of it.

This bipartisanship thing is making me crazy. It would be one thing if we were negotiating over a few issues, but the Republicans (as my dad would say) are way out in left field. It does not help them politically to do anything but destroy the process.Americans cannot afford, literally, a compromise on this one. We need the public option.

Bipartisanship means “I’m only asking you out of politeness” Actually it is probably a cover if the policy fails in practice. Either party can say, “well the Dems/Repubs signed on to it, also”

Sorry Bob, I’ll reserve my enthusiasm until Reid actually walks the walk.

We’ll see…..I don’t think he grew a ball so much as found a pair of Truck Nutz. Looks like a pair when shoved down your pants but they’re easily detachable when the going gets tough……

Half a ball doesn’t make a bearing.Half-assed Harry should have been replaced as majority leader in January. We had two years to see that he sucked as a majority leader. It was nothing but insanity to think he would be any better this year.

I which that Rahm was the Majority Leader. He’d be digging up dirt on these bastards and kicking their asses to get in line. Or maybe he,d just say fuck them and do what he knows is right! I liked that Half Assed Harry! It truely suits him.

Bob, I agree with everythin you said except this:

The United States was built upon fierce partisanship.

The US of A was built by the people. The parties had nothing to do with it. If we had to write a constitution today, it wouldn’t get done, because these two parties would rather destroy each other than do what’s right for the people.Bipartisanship is not necessary. Just getting the fucking job done is the only statistic I care about, and in the end, it’s the only thing the PEOPLE care about, too.Incidentally, I hope our elected officials are watching Iran closely. They need a soft reminder of what happens when a government repeatedly fucks it’s people.

“It was nothing but insanity to think he would be any better this year.”This is merely indicative of the relative balllessness of democrats in the senate. They should’ve removed him long ago. I mean, seriously, he’s most effective senator? Maybe someone who anatomically lacks balls would be better. He just needs a Trent Lott moment so we have an excuse to oust him.I still say Russ Feingold would be the ideal Majority Leader.
