Letterman Bad, Buchanan Good

MSNBC cracks me up.

They’re dedicating an entire segment every hour to expressing outrage over Letterman’s remarks about Sarah Palin, but they don’t seem to have any problem with far worse remarks which they pay Pat Buchanan to repeat on their network.

Adding… Speaking of Mr. Buchanan:

The Southern Poverty Law Center reports that MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan has invited the editor of a white nationalist, anti-immigrant website to speak at the upcoming conference for his group, the American Cause.

    If Sarah Palin thinks Dave needs to apologize to women…maybe she should take a look in the mirror. She owes me a huge apology for not standing up for my right to choose. She has done women a huge disservice in more ways than that – way more than Dave Letterman.

    I think it’s probably more about ratings. After all, Letterman beat the new TOnight Show w/Conan the other night so we have to crush the non-NBC competition.

    Sarah Palin just strikes me as emotionally arrested and politically tone deaf. Defend your daughter, fine. But going on a media tour and insinuating that Letterman is a perv/pedo is a bit much. It’s like how she said that Hillary Clinton was “whining” about sexism, and then came out “Hi, I’m Hillary 2.0 and wasn’t the media SO MEAN to Hillary?” Palin said recently that she is against political correctness, I guess that’s just when something doesn’t offend HER. Good for her if she is going to go after “sexism” (snerk), but what Letterman said wasn’t as bad as what Rush says everyday. And her main point seems to be that the media is biased against Republicans and would NEVER make a joke about the daughter of a Democratic politician who had a baby/whose family engaged in a media fight with the child’s father. It doesn’t come off so much as her wanting to defend her daughter, just another excuse to piss and moan about the media.

    I did not see/hear what Letterman said, but jeez, Sarah’s going a bit bonkers with that do as I say not as I do shit. I love how their perception shows up in ALL areas of their lives, not just their politics.I feel sorry for those kids, they haven’t had an adult role model their entire lives.

    It wasn’t a “statutory rape joke”, it was a teen pregnancy joke.It only became a statutory “rape joke” ex post facto, when it turned out that it was Willow rather than Bristol at the ballgame.Who the hell WOULDN’T be confused about which Palin brat is which? Trigg, Tripp, Trac, Willow, Bristol, Donner, Dancer, Blitzen, Sneezy and Farty…It’s like Dr. Suess meets Walt Disney!I’m farking sick of the twist this bullshit requires to give vent to fake outrage.As if Letterman would make rape jokes.With role models like Sarah and Bristol, anyone want to take bets on Willow’s due date?The Palins will WISH it was A-Rod who knocked her up instead of the idiot son of the turkey geeker…or the unemployed hockey stick her sister humped.
