Limbaugh Blames Obama for Sanford’s Affair

Rush Limbaugh blames, of all people, President Obama for Mark Sanford’s affair:

“This is almost like, ‘I don’t give a damn, the country’s going to Hell in a handbasket, I just want out of here,’” Limbaugh said. “[Sanford] had just tried to fight the stimulus money coming to South Carolina. He didn’t want any part of it; he lost the battle. He said, ‘What the hell. I mean, the federal government’s taking over — what the hell, I want to enjoy life.’”

Naturally a guy who’s been married three times and who takes stag trips to the Dominican Republic with a fanny pack full of Viagra (not in his name) will equate “enjoying life” with “cheating on one’s wife with an Argentinian mistress.”

    We’re going to hear more of this kind of Teh Stupid™ coming from Rushbaugh’s fat mouth over the next three years. It’s a formula he perfected during the Clinton years. While I cannot possibly track down the quote, I recall overhearing him say that the US soccer team’s second-round defeats in the 1998 world cup were Clinton’s fault. Seriously.The reason I remember this is because that was the moment I stopped humoring the wingnut in the room and insisted she find something else to listen to.

    The stupidest thing about Limpballs’ “theory” is that Sanford started his affair more than a year ago, judging by the e-mails. That would mean that he was already so depressed about the sheer possibility of Obama’s victory, and the speculation of what he might do, that it drove him into another woman’s arms.That is such a monstrous pimple on the ass of FAIL.
