I actually don’t mind the Foo Fighters, even if I like Grohl and their videos more than I like their music (All My Life excepted, that’s a tremendous song). But here’s an alternate awesome:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC9O27HoHeo

Oh, but you know what’s NOT awesome? Screwed up image ratios; wide screen pictures squeezed into 4:3 (like the above) or 4:3 images stretched to widescreen. It’s like having the most severe case of astigmatism ever.

AGAIN!!??? And while I’m out of the country. :( Bob, if you’re going to be in NY next week, and don’t at least give me an opportunity to wave at you or something, I’m just going to throw a major tantrum. :( It is 2:46 in New York, so you’ve got plenty of time to head out to Brooklyn. You take any of the following trains: B, D, M, N, Q, or R to DeKalb Avenue – Junior’s is on the corner. Grab some cheese cake, or sit and eat, and THEN grab some cheese cake. Seriously – best cheese cake in the world,There are in fact 2 other Junior’s restaurants – one in Grand Central Station, and one on 38th street in the theater district. However, Juniors is, and always will be a Brooklyn establishment, so I consider these knock-offs blasphemies. If you just CAN’T get to Brooklyn, go to Grand Central. The pedestrian nature of the outlet brings it more in line with the Brooklyn base.QT

I’m new to this blog so please let me know if I’m overstepping by posting this. I believe Teaflax set the precedent when Bob Cesca posted “Walking in Memphis”. (Sure, it’s a good song. Kind of in the same way the Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes” is a good song.)May I present the wonderful Amadou et Mariam. I saw them at Park West in Chicago last Tuesday and was blown away. They had the whole place dancing like maniacs. If you have a chance to check them out, do it….it’s an instant party.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SorhVSYnqX0Thanks!

I’ve posted a MORNING AWESOME video every day for a year and a half, and approximately 180 music videos, and I’ve finally stirred up the music snobs.Look at the Music category below:http://www.bobcesca.com/cgi-bin/MT-3.35-en/mt-search-v3.cgi?tag=Music&Template=tag_search&blog_id=1You'll find that for every Marc Cohn video, there’s a New Pornographers video or for every U2 video, there’s an Atomic Swindlers video or a band you might not have even heard of. Jason Forrest, Camera, It Hugs Back, Shiny Toy Guns, Leslie Feist, and so on.So spare me the music elitism.
