Yglesias heads off a Republican healthcare lie before it gets popular.
The CBO released its scoring of Senator Kennedy’s (half finished) HELP healthcare plan, and some Republicans are beginning to complain that the plan will force millions of Americans to lose their current provider — contrary to what the president has been saying.
The accusation, of course, isn’t true.
In fact, as Yglesias emphasizes, under the HELP plan and according to the CBO, 10 million Americans would be able to ditch their current plan for another plan that will actually be a better and more affordable.
