Screw the Facts, She’s Awesome!

MSNBC admits to basically allowing anyone on television who happens to be “a great guest.”

Liz Cheney, for example.

It doesn’t matter that she’s horrifically wrong and, you know, lying, as long as she can form a snappy sentence and fit in with the Morning Joe panel of Halperin-approved man-douches, she’s golden.

I know they’re supposed to be the “liberal network,” but I know a lot of liberals who would’ve been great guests who never appeared on MSNBC — especially during the run-up to the invasion of Iraq.

    Yeah, she’s a Great guest, and a great Host would eat her lunch for every time she opens her mouth.Last week, Contessa told the truth-impaired Dick-spawn she was going to fact-check her shit, & Lizzy went into a tizzy and literally said that was “Unfair”.Maybe she’s a Great guest, but please don’t call that “News”, MSNBC.That’s the nonsense that Fox portrays as news: Put on an impassioned talking head spinning propaganda and spewing factless truthiness and act like they have a real story with a real in-the-know person.Unless I’ve had it rong, all along,doesn’t ‘News’ usually involve the investigation and reporting of facts? (and when the fuck did that change?)

    I was literally screaming at my tv the other day when I saw this lying bigot on “my” MSNBC yet AGAIN!!!Hey! I’m old. I can scream at my tv if I want. LOL!This TOOL makes me sick. Daddy’s little girl. GAG!!!And NO ONE calls her out on her lies!!! That’s what really irks the heck outa’ me.Can anyone tell me if ANY media person on any station has ever really called her on her SPINS and LIES???MSNBC is the only news station I watch.     Yes, ABC had her and Lawrence O’Donnell on together one morning.. but of course they didn’t let Lawrence talk very much.. he still managed to call her out once or twice though.

    I would love for her to be on all the time if they would confront her lies and present the facts every time she opens her mouth.What a horrible family. Ed Schultz had someone on that called them the lowest rated family in the history of polling. HA!

    so long as 24 * 7 cable “news” continues to:insists that for every point there is a counterpoint worthy of airtime, even if there isn’t.has a pundit commenting on things said by other pundits and considers that news.allows obvious spin (and even more obvious lies) go unchallenged.continue to rely on the split screen, giving the same real estate to people spouting, at best, nonsense and at worst, lies.It will be “entertainment” and not “information.” It is nothing more than the equivalent of 1970′s era soap operas. Fluff rich and content less.Having Liz Cheyney on because she is a good guest? Is that any different than when Vince McMahon had to admit in court, I believe, that the WWF was “scripted entertainment” and not a “sporting event”. The thing that everyone knew anyway is now confirmed.
