Since Sarah Palin has decided to not leave the public, her method has become completely clear – she exaggerates reality to the point where it becomes a pandering lie. Whenever she says almost anything, her words can’t be taken at face value.

The Letterman situation is a clear example – she took a dumb joke and turned it into an accusation of rape. Rape, as in ‘we’re going to charge victims for their rape kits.’

    Loud noises. All it is, is loud noises. Those dumb jokes weren’t even about Palin’s kid(s), they were about Spitzer, and that baseball guy (sorry, I don’t follow the sport). Her outrage is only intended to distract America from the clusterfuck that is right-wing ideology today. Every new right-wing extremist attack will be accompanied in the news by another new fake outrage from Palin, Limbaugh, Gingrich, whoever. At this point, they’re all the same.

    The structure of the comments coming from Todd and Sarah Palin show that their outrage is entirely manufactured for political purposes (e.g. their referencing “Hollywood, New York” celebrities and “Alaskan” values).I also noticed Sarah keeps mentioning her daughter (Willow) by name–an odd habit for somebody trying to keep her children out of the limelight.I feel sorry for the Palin children who have to watch their parents continually making asses out of themselves–sometimes at the expense of such children.

    The Palin’s continue to overplay their hand in this case by pretending not to know that the jokes were NOT about Willow. Any idiot knows that they were geared towards the 18 year old WITH CHILD. Reminds me of the lipstick on a pig nonsense from the campaign. Overplayed.

    Read some of the comments over at Huffpost. Trust me, there are plenty of idiots who are willing to believe that the jokes were about Willow.

Palin is being so stridently defensive about what she (and apparently nobody else) interpreted as a sex joke aimed at her 14-year-old, I find myself wondering if maybe precious little Willow has, in fact, gotten knocked up.That would explain the borderline hysterical response from her parents, would it not?
