Fundraising Open Thread

Time for a mid-Summer fundraiser so we can keep this place cranking at full speed. If you can toss some folding money into the jolly candy-like PayPal button below, I’d be most grateful. As will the ever hungry intertubes.

Adding… Is anyone else creeped out by that Walgreen’s commercial in which there’s a woman who looks exactly like Livia Soprano?

    Really? A PTT? I almost don’t know how to act!And I don’t think I’ve seen the Walgreens ad. I’m permanently scarred by the Burger King ads, though.

    I just watched a segment on Rachel Maddow’s show and she had a guy who inflitrated the group that John Ensign, Mark Sanford, Tom Coburn, Jim DeMint and others belong to called C Street. They consider themselves the “Chosen Ones” These are some sick bastards. The guy who was under cover said that he attended one of their meetings and one of them asked one of the Senators what he thought people would think of him if he raped 3 little girls. So the guy says they’d think I was a monster and the Senator said, no, you’re the chosen one and must lead at all costs or something to that effect. Sick bastards! It does explain why they’re all so determined not to resign.

    That explains why our country is so screwed up.. that’s what it explains.I have the link to the video of the entire interview of the husband of the woman Ensign was having the affair with. It is really something. Ensign is more of a sleaze than Sanford was and was screwing this woman in his own house with his wife and kids and her husband and kids there. Over Christmas.The Hamptons house had gotten robbed and so the Ensigns offered to put them up for a few days until the police were done and they could get the locks changed and all, Thats when it started according to him.. or at least when he found out and they admitted it to him..Then even after Ensign said he was going to stop he went back after her and she started up again with him.. it’s not like she was an innocent.Like I said pretty revealing and pretty interesting.

    Did anyone else spend today watching the protests in Iran? I was at work, plus I don’t have cable, but apparently CNN was the only one who acknowledged that anything was happening. MSNBC didn’t mention a thing for hours. Talk about a #MSNBCfail! I still find it fascinating to see how things play out over the internet. It’s an amazing use of this tool, and it makes it more personal than ever before.

    Yes, I did a double take on that ad the first time I saw it, Bob.Once the camera actually settles on the actresses face, you can see she’s the spitting image of the late Nancy Marchand.A little bit smaller in stature, though.
