Good News for Evan Bayh

She’s available:

The Washington Times reports that Palin plans to stump for conservative issues and even for Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and energy independence.

Position flexible indeed.

It would be great if this doof invited that brain dead moron to campaign with him. Perhaps it could be the death knell for a man with both the personality and intelligence of a coat hanger. Although with Indiana, there’s no sure way to know how they would receive such news.

Well, I’m in N. Indiana, and if Bayh invites her here, I’ll seriously consider a drug-induced coma for the duration. My mother would be thrilled. I’ve tried talking rationally with her about this, but at 79 (go mom!), she’s set in her ways. I’d like to think that if dad were still around he’d be a steadying influence, but I fear she’s developed an addiction to Fox News.

This may not be too bad, hopefully she can wedge some of these Blue Dog corporate sellouts out of office and open up the playing field for some good progressives to move in.Question: Are true blues having any luck in the South? I am sure progressives can get inroads on the people hit hardest by Reagonomics.

I must admit I’m curious about people who watch fox news. Specifically, when stories that they’ve slanted are met with facts. Like this whole Presidential “Booty Shot” they ran with until it was pointed out on GMA, a show watched by more people than fox, just what do their viewers think? If I was a fox viewer and frequently saw facts brought out that they didn’t I would have to question the whole “new” in “foxnews”. Whether you’re an older viewer or not.

  • roxsteady

    That’s “news” in fox news!

Bob,you are obsessed with Sarah Palin. Can’t we get some news on Michael Jackson and Tot-Mom, please? Wait until Sarah dies at least before you give her twenty-four /seven tabloid status.

The reason we’re all so facinated is because never has anyone so unqualified, ignorant and just plain stupid garnered such serious consideration as a VP, a President or even a Govenor. This woman is a moron. While Dems are described as more liberal no Democratic strategist would have ever put forward someone so wrong on every front for Vice President. The teen pregnancy issue alone would have disqualified her because the Republicans would have crucified the Dems for this blatant display of low morales and the hypocricy of her stance on absitnence. She’s a hillbilly and a grifter and it’s a train wreck in progress!

Sarah Palin embodies everything the professional conservative christo-victims feel about themselves. She is just that come-up-from-nothing gal with common sense and Christian values (which in their minds is all that’s required to run a city, state or nation) that is beset on all sides by elitist church-hating snobs that just wont let her shine. She is one great big projection of the Great State of Appalachia. Held back by affirmative action, a socialist state that wants to reward laziness and illegal immigration, and a liberal education system that forces them to learn evolution, the Big Bang Theory, and grammar, they see Sarah Palin as their knight in shining armor, their King Arthur. A wise and Christian leader anointed by God to do His work on earth and once and for all confirm America’s destiny as a Christian nation by smoting the non-believers. Incapable of critical thought, they never see that she is a facade, a very pretty husk that hides an elitist snob that is very willing to do all the things, engage in all the corruption, and ignore the citizens that elevated her just like the liberal-communist-marxist God-hating over-educated uppity immigrant-loving phantoms they fear. It’s not necessarily an obsession, PPP, as much as it is a fascination with the evidence of a problem with American. With all the information out there from the intertubes, the TeeVees, and the journalistic effort to expose her fakery, she’s still immensely popular with a percentage of Republicans. And it can’t be ignored that easily. We’re in an age where pols destroy themselves spectacularly and in full view of the cameras, yet are so convinced of their special part in God’s plan for America that they refuse to slink away in shame. Theirs is not a fatal flaw of character but instead they are victims of the politics of personal destruction and you can’t judge them only God can (even though a cursory reading of God’s Owner’s Manual suggests that they should be on the lookout for a serious ass-whooping) and they talked to God yesterday through prayer and consultation with their preacher and God said “Keep on keepin’ on.” Again, it’s a bunch of fakery, a cruel trick perpetrated on the very people that elevated them based partly, or mostly, on their religiosity.Thor’s Hammer! Why didn’t anyone tell me to shut up before I wrote this much?

My thing is, I don’t want someone who pumps gas to represent me in Washington! The problem with these hillbillys is that they aren’t qualified to hold public office and anyone who thinks they are is really STUPID! I’m sorry but, there’s no other word for it. Would you want a plumber to perform open heart surgery on you? Then why would you want some ignorant woman who whent to 5 different colleges to be president. Morons need not apply. Palin’s time would be better spent watching her other daughters who are hurtling towards puberty. Since she’s not into birth control, she’d better make sure that she’s the one at home watching them since Todd didn’t really work out!

I’ve always felt, rox, that the Founding Fathers (may God (Thor) rest their no doubt rolling in their graves souls) had the idea that anyone could achieve office and not be denied upward mobility because of “low” birth. They’d lived in a society run by landed elites and new what kind of crazies that could breed. But I believe they also had the idea that America’s common man would be at least adequately educated, again viewing education as available to everyone (yes, I know, everyone except slaves) and not limited to those with wealth and status. They probably never intended for just any rube with a 6th grade mentality to be president or serve in Congress. But what we’ve seen is that the conservatives have made the absence of critical thought and belief in superstition a virtue and elect their representatives based on how easily they display ignorance.
