One of my favorite riders crashed today on Stage 16 — and landed on his face. The following is not for the squeamish:
Jens Voigt is one of those riders who isn’t the fastest or most gifted, but he makes up for it with sheer determination, character and aggression. A commenter at Podium Cafe replaced “Chuck Norris” with “Jens Voigt” and came up with the following:
- When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Jens.
- Outer space exists because it’s afraid to be on the same planet with Jens.
- Jens does not sleep. He waits.
- While urinating, Jens is easily capable of welding titanium.
Fortunately, he only suffered a fractured cheek bone and a concussion. Go Jens!
