Quote of the Day

“It’s almost immoral what they are doing. Of course they’ve been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure. They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening.” —Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on private health insurance corporations

This is absolutely spot on. Except for “almost.”

Oh FOXNews will leap on this shortly. It’ll be their “See?!? Democrats hate capitalism! They’re Socialists!!” endless video loop.By the way, is it Constitutionally possible for Nancy Pelosi to be both Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader?

I agree with Pelosi. What pissed me off was that asswipe Joe Scarborough jumped on this on his show this morning. He’s always quoting her poll numbers. As if these people responding to these national polls can do anything about removing her as the Speaker. I hope the people of San Francisco still support her because they are the only one’s who matter. It’s clear that he and the rest of the Republcan men hate her and I think it’s because unlike Sarah Palin and many of the other women in the Republican party, Pelosi is a strong and smart woman. Ed Shultz said the same thing yesterday. If I were a male relative of Pelosi’s I’d call Scarborough and tell him that he needs to tone down his rhetoric against her or I’ll knock out his fucking teeth! He actually said that the Dems are targeting the insurance companies because they need a boogyman. Dose this fucking idiot really think that anyone, even those with insurance are thrilled that their premiums go up each year or that they can kick you off once you get sick? I read on the plum that the Dems indeed are going to target the insurance companies and I’m thrilled! Those blood suckers are the reason we’re in this mess. If he doesn’t think they’re immoral he should explain why back in February, United Health paid a fine of $400 million dollars, basically for insurance fraud. I kept wishing someone would have asked him that. What a dick!

By the way, Harry (dickless) Reid is the Majority leader. Hopefully, not for long.
