Worst of the Worst

I think we can safely say that the following senators are acting solely on behalf of the health insurance lobby.

Six key Senate Centrists–Ben Nelson (D-NE), Joe Lieberman (I-CT), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Ron Wyden (D-OR)–are asking Democratic and Republican leaders to slow down the pace of health care reform efforts.

“[I]n the view of [CBO Director Doug Elmendorf's] statement, there is much heavy lifting ahead,” reads a letter the group signed today. “We look forward to working with you to develop legislation that is vital to the well-being of the American people and urge you to resist timelines which prevent us from achieving the best results.”

Yep. They want to slow down healthcare reform obviously so they can find ways to further subsidize their mafia bosses in the healthcare lobby. Not a single one of these bastards has any shame. I mean, they’re right out front with their obvious shilling for the industry.

wow. This is all getting way to stupid for me. And also the “centrists” want to gut EFCA by removing the card check part of the bill, which is the backbone of the bill. And the unions aren’t saying a word. It’s just too much bullshit to deal with because WE ARE IN THE MAJORITY and acting like we’re not.Everything seems to be upside down.

Yeah, we need to proceed cautiously. I mean, if we screw this up and end up spending a gajillion dollars by accident, we can’t go back and fix that. Once this thing is done, we wont be able to go back and make adjustments. It’ll be carved in stone. The die will be cast. Danger! Danger! Don’t do it! It might work! People might like it and then what the fuck will we do?

I think we need a massive call-in and write in campaign, on the scale of the presidential election, in order to get the change we so desperately need.Unfortunately from this list, Wyden is the only one coming up on election next cycle. Everyone is a ways off.

Exactly! I posted on this story a few minutes ago on the huffington post. I’m sick of these bastards and if they’re not going to get their act together we need to let them know that we will help the Republicans regain the majority in the Whitehouse, the Senate and Congress by staying home when the next elections come around. I’ve fucking had it! I think we should call their office and tell them this. Also, what the hell is wrong with the idiot voters in their states? Why do you keep voting for these people. You people are responsible for sending your stupid ass Senators and Congressman and women to Washington. Those of you who keep voting for these douchebags are equally to blame. Get a brain you fucking morons!

They need more time to read the bill. Which I think is totally legitimate, after all, it’s not like they knew this was coming, or have staffs and interns to help them read all this. Plus Joe Lieberman… illiterate. Shh. Don’t tell anyone. He’s very sensitive about it. It’s why he always looks so droopy.

what is amazing to me is where the F is our media. If they reported this 1/10 as much as the auotmaker CEO’s jets (which I could care less about), healthcare reform would fly through congress. But they continue assign two sets of facts to the TRUTH. You have to check out Greenwald’s Chuck Tool interview. It is a study in BBQ media.

President Obama just held a short press conference. I think he’s fighting back on this letter. “Those who think we aren’t going to get something done this year are badly mistaken.”BOOM!
