Once again, far-right ignorance is making us a laughing stock.

And the fact that our healthcare system forced thousands of people in LA to line up for medical attention from a non-profit that normally serves the third world ought to be a wake up call for every lawmaker who’s dithering and lying his or her way through this reform process. I’m looking at you, Grasshole.

    It is clear that the right believe in the survival of the fittest and the fittest are those with wealth and power.I am reading “The Plan” by Jeff Sharlett and the thing that scares me the most is that I am not surprised by anything that I have read thus far. I am frightened though, truly frightened.As for Republicans in general – these folks don’t like to think very hard so they have fallen into the mantra of “anything that is bad for Obama is good for me”. It gives them more time to watch Fox and clean their guns.Harsh? I think not.

    What was the name of that movie? “To Live and Die in LA”. That popped into my head when I was looking at the magazine cover.’ec’ touched on a good point. For all the noise the wingnuts make about ‘intelligent design’ I think their educated element believe in Darwin up to their eyeballs, if only in some ineffable way. Their regard for our health care system is their way of making sure that natural selection is kept in play.

    I certainly wish the media would ask the question- WHY DON’T THE RETHUGS WANT HEALTHCARE REFORM?And make some of these wing nutjobs answer it.I bet we’d get some wild answers. In 2010 this should be the dems rallying cry-how the thugs tried to stop everyone from getting healthcare.But they’d need some spines for that.

    None of those people on that cover want to work, and the ones that do have a job don’t want to pay for health care through their employer because they’d rather get it free. I mean look at them. This could actually be the picture from Katrina. Those people knew danger was coming, and chose to stay. All of them get what they deserve because they don’t want to work when they can just take what I make.That’s what’s going through the head of the Michelle Malkins, the Rush Limbbaughs, the Glenn Becks and all of their followers. These people deserve their lot in life.I see what you’re trying to do Bob, but these people can’t be reasoned with. The Republicans are resisting out of their innate lack of compassion for other human beings, and the Blue Dogs are resisting out of their innate greed. We need to just ram this fucker through. Reminding them of what they’ve said in the past about stuff they now oppose is useless. Their brains are constructed and compartmentalized specifically to support the cognitive dissonance that governs their day to day activities. They can say they support end-of-life counseling, then not support it and say they never did. They can say they believe in the teachings of Jesus and then not live by them and say they do. They can solicit gay sex in a public restroom then say “oh, but I’m not gay and that’s not what I was doing.” They’re not rational adults and we should stop trying to reason with them as if they are.
