Adding… For someone who wants to leave her family out of politics, she certainly loves to inject that kid into the debate every chance she gets.

    Let’s remember something about Trig: he’s covered by his father’s insurance through his work.I would really, really, really, really, really pay lots and lots and lots of money to be a fly on the wall while Sarah tries to find an individual policy to cover baby Trig.It would make my millennium.

    Great work, Matt. :) And if she truly cared so much for our most precious citizens, she would be strongly supporting a public option so that families with special needs children could be guaranteed affordable coverage.But she’s not because she’s a complete idiot.

    Just this once Hielo: Huzzah for that party!Something that just occurred to me:Does it seem like the real fear from these people is that they think the smart people have come to exterminate the idiots, and deep down they know they’re uneducated and are scared to death? I mean listen to them. They’re often not very bright and seem to shake with rage at the idea that smart people, smart black people no less, with their fancy lawyer language, and their fancy degrees, are passing laws telling them what to do.

    Most of what is so, so wrong about this statement has been pointed out.But what I find the most galling is the ignorance of the FACT that parents of Downs Syndrome babies face the gauntlet of their health insurers every day. They fight for care for their children (for care of the Downs Syndrome and other health issues) and they face the terror of having to find insurance on the open market with a “liability” in their family.Palin’s dangerous and counterproductive stupidity is what is truly evil.
