Oh Come On!

According to a new poll released by the AARP, 79 percent of Americans support “a new federal health insurance plan that individuals could purchase if they can’t afford private plans offered to them.”

Put into terms Max Baucus might understand, 80 percent of the state population of Montana is 773,952 people. That’s 773,952 out of 967,440.

For Kent Conrad, 80 percent of the population of North Dakota is 513,185 people. That’s 513,184 out of 641,481.

Which begs the question – exactly why are we even having this discussion any more?We have got to find a way to cram all of this, this poll, the Research 2000 poll, all of it down the collective throats of the hold-out Senators. Back to the emailing, I guess, but I wonder how much good that is doing…

Oh, Bob, everyone knows you can’t trust the AARP. It’s a “communist” organization. That’s from an actual comment on my blog recently.

sickening–what I do not think the Dems realize is they will be clobbered in 2010 if they lose the support that got them their F-ING CHAIRMANSHIPS!!!!

Eric, i gotta blame the media again for prolonging this whole process Unless/until reporters start quoting this poll twice as often as they cover racuous town halls. And unless/until they delete phrase “controversial public option” from their vocabs, none of this debate matters.
