It’s Only Going To Get Worse

While the Baucus Plan is a shit sandwich, it’s only going to get worse when an array of Republican amendments are attached and Democratic amendments fail in committee.

In other words, if you think the bill sucks now, wait until a crapload of additional Republican ideas get shoehorned into it. I say “additional” because Kent Conrad admitted yesterday that the bill is already a Republican bill!

Nevertheless, the Republicans won’t vote for the bill anyway.

    It’ll get worse even as he tells us how much better it’s getting.This thing is dead in the water and he knows it. He can bring his bill, but he’ll be lucky if even half of the shit he packed it with makes it through conference.He’s going to be a media darling for a another week or two while he fiddle-fucks around with the markup, but once his bill is submitted and gutted, he’ll fade back into disgraceful obscurity.
