The networks spent more time covering that racist wingnut’s obnoxious Tourettes outburst than they spent reporting on the president’s address.

It’s no wonder why people are generally clueless about healthcare reform.

    Surprisingly uninformed. I was in line today at the library to check out my books. In front of me were two women chatting. One said she was an MD and the other was an RN training to be a PA. They agreed that health care reform is very unpopular and that it would be terrible because, with health care more available, there would not be enough doctors.

    I watched it on MSNBC, they carried the entire rally and Ed hosted it.. Alex Twit was on this morning of course and she talked about the Tea Party or whatever you want to call it in DC quite a bit.. but I mostly tuned it out.Then I spent the last 2 hours and a little more talking to a group of young people (16 to 18) about the President. I have a favorite Italian restaurant here in town and go there quite often. The owner and I often discuss Pres. Obama and we are in agreement that he is doing a good job, however some of these kids are in the dark and we have been trying to turn the light on in their minds.Today was quite challenging. One of the kids parents must be a Fox watcher because he was certain that the President was the Anti-Christ and I had to get rather adamant with him to convince him otherwise. It was rather funny in a way.I think we finally reached a truce, he agreed to do some homework and we would talk again, and I told him to bring it on, as long as he got his information anywhere but Fox…lol

    I went to a town hall here in Chicago. A cardiologist stood up to say how much he was against “Obamacare”. His wife then stood up to say that “everybody knows that the only people without healthcare are either drug addicts or mentally ill”. These are folks within the medical community espousing these views. Unbelievable! My goodness, we’re doomed as a nation with these nuts around.
