Race and the Sunday Shows

If you missed the Sunday shows today, you missed some of the most disingenuous performances from the resident conservatives who refused to admit that race is a factor in attacks against the president.

Fact: most Republicans, and most of the corporate press, listens to or monitors highlights of the Rush Limbaugh show. So they would have to know that just the other day, Limbaugh said that in “Obama’s America” school buses must be segregated in order to protect the white kids from the violent black kids.

That’s just one example of many from the de facto leader of the Republican Party — the man who Republican politicians refuse to distance themselves from.

What you heard from Noonan, Will, Gillespie and Roger Simon this morning about race was utter horseshit.

Adding… Peggy Noonan was at the top of her passive aggressive condescending game. Bravo. Referring to the president as “boorish” in her trademark insufferable hushed tone doesn’t make her “graceful” or “civil” — it just makes her look ridiculous, since she clearly doesn’t know what “boorish” means.

    I can’t say that I am shocked at Peggy, Will and co…and, generally the repubs re-action to race. Most of them have not even admitted to themselves that they are innately racist. Sad but true! They will deny, but,I,for one, am extremely glad that this race stuff is now coming out in the open, as people get to face themselves and their realities surrounding race issues.Really though, what would these folks know about the dynamics and challenges of race? I can bet you that they have no real ‘of colour’ friends and that none of them have ever had any around their dinner table!!Race to them is something to avoid,to stereotype. They are not even aware that they are judging doubly and harshly ..because the Prez is a bi-racial man.Boorish..says Ms Noonan. Has she ever listened to herself? Too jokey for words!!

    Noonan gives me the creeps. Such a polished voice for the propaganda of the right. Like Rush, she will gladly lie for the cause. She is a bit more subtle.

    Noonan is an ignorant bitch! Boorish? That’s a description I’d use to describe Cheney but, not Obama. If the media was doing their job of reporting just the facts Obama wouldn’t need to be on tv every day. By the way that asshole David Gregory blew it again when he was interviewing Graham and Boehner. Boehner claimed that he didn’t think Obama was a socialist but, as thinkprogress pointed out today, Boehner did say the following at the CPAC Conference a few months ago”Well, the stimulus, the omnibus, the budget — it’s all one big down payment on a new American socialist experiment. … All of these bills seek to replace our economic freedom with the whims and mandates of politicians and bureaucrats.”This was the part where the “Journalist” would have chimed in with Boehner’s own words. Gregory is a complete fucking tool! This is why you suck and Rachel Maddow would kick your ass if she had a Sunday show of her own. This is why Meet The Press saw it’s viewer total jump by 866,000 when Rachel hosted.

    Actually, Rachel didn’t host MTP. She was the guest but, the ratings jumped by 866,000! David Gregory SUCKS!
