Racist, yes. And a Bigtime A-hole.

There’s a lot to be pissed about in this video of racist Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KKK) in which the she tells Elizabeth Smith, an audience member without healthcare, to “be a grown up” and get insurance.

Yeah, that’s pretty awful.

But earlier in the clip a wingnut in the audience shouts out, “I don’t want to pay for your healthcare!” Or something similar. Oddly, this is what really pissed me off about the video. First, and most obviously, very Christian of him. Secondly, no one’s asking Shouty McAsshat to pay for Smith’s insurance. She clearly states that she wants to pay for her own insurance in the form of a public option. And she’s right. She’d have to pay a premium — and the wingnut shouter guy wouldn’t have to “pay for her healthcare.”

We can’t let these ignorant jagoffs win this fight. We just can’t let the stupid win.

I agree Bob. Obviously Mr McShouty is unaware that he is paying for Medicare, Medicaid, the uninsured EMS services and within his own premiums he is paying 20% extra for a nice profit so the insurance company can NOT guarantee that they will pay anything and another 10% for lawyers. And we as a nation are less healthy than the “socialized” nations. When are we going to start shouting back at these idiot screamers????

“I don’t want to pay for your healthcare!”This shows something I’ve suspected all along. Aside from all the usual rationales for right-wing opposition to the health care reform (following the leader, fearing the government, opposition to Obama etc.) is the fear that the “wrong” and undeserving people will get the health care.

“We can’t let these ignorant jagoffs win this fight. We just can’t let the stupid win.”I am a member of a very stupid group. They are called “Baby Boomers”. I fully realize that they are not exclusive when it comes to buying the lies and bullshit. “Stupid” has no age boundaries. But the percentage of my group that is easily brain washed is incredibly high. Oh, I have stories!Another group is so stupid that you just have to laugh. This the Palin/Bachman/You Know Who, bunch of religious psychos.I will now repeat my earlier post because I think about it a lot…..Can you imagine the party we will have, after the rapture, when all of these asshole are gone?Oh, for a world without these two stupid groups. They cannot conceive of a government operating under a system of bribery. They know the truth. It is on Faux, Beck, Lush Rimjob, etc.

    Speak it, Brother Bob!

By paying premiums to private insurers we are all paying for someone else’s healthcare. Premiums are pooled and healthcare is (sometimes) paid for. There is no practical or actual difference if we pay into a single pool (in a single payer system) or thousands of tiny pools (as we do now) except that the larger the pool, the more the risk is spread around. Not to mention that what people should really be pissed about is NOT paying for other people’s healthcare but paying for some guy’s dividend, or a lobbyist’s salary or that annoying ad during our favorite show.At least if we have the option of buying insurance from a public insurance entity instead of a private entity then I know my premium is going for health care and not profits.Single payer is the most efficient system, but at minimum we need a public option.

All these clips of the GOP response to their constituents concerns should be archived and made into a commercial next year during the elections.
