The Best Argument for Education Reform

This tea bagger interview piece easily rivals Max Blumenthal.

Watch for the segment about the czars. You can almost see the steam shooting from their ears.

UPDATE: The filmmaker apparently doesn’t want anyone to see this video now. Why would anyone want to keep this video from the world?

Those folks would not have given him a chance to explain what is meant by ‘czars’ if he had not heard them out first. You can see just a little bit of a crack opening in the shell of ignorance keeping their world small. This is a beginning.Attributed to Thich Nhat Hahn:”Never blame, never try to persuade using reason and arguments. They never lead to positive effects. That is my experience. No argument, no reasoning, no blame, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you understand, you can love, and the situation will change.”These people are our fellows, whatever we may feel about them. The opposite of fear is love. They’re both powerful tools, but I know which one I’d rather have in my toolbox.

I am still cracking up and will probably be for the next two days. Best line in the whole thing, the guy with the camoflage hat when the interviewer explained about czars…”You know this how?” LOL

That was really good. I especially like the title: Concentrated Stupidity. Awesome.

LIttle Green Footballs posted this video a few days ago. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even flinch anymore. The thing that kills me is that the right wing has no choice anymore but to try and utilize these people. These people are their base now. These people – who, for the most part, are just LaRouchers and Christian Identity psychos and Far-Out Right Wing Militia-types – are the ONLY people the Republicans can claim as their own anymore. They’ve lost independents; they’ve lost Reagan Democrats; they’ve even lost fair-minded and reasonable Republicans, for fuck’s sake. And so this is who they’re left with. And night after night, Hannity and Beck go out of their way to show the less offensive signs, and not air interviews with the overtly psychotic individuals, and try and make them seem like reasonable, normal Americans who are just fed up with Obama and the Democrats (after only – what? – 9 months.) It’s a scam that, clearly, only works on other lunatics.Luckily their numbers are too small to help win a national election, otherwise I’d have trouble sleeping at night.

    >b>Saysyes…. Thank you. I was thinking while watching this with horror that if I had met these people one on one and talked to them I would probably like them. Which is what is so infuriating about the whole FreedomWorks clusterfuck. Dick Army is evil incarnate and he has fooled and frightened these poor people to the point of hysteria.
