The de facto leader of the Republican Party lets the truth slip out:

LIMBAUGH: I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.

Yep. Rush Limbaugh is pro-segregation. If the cable news people are going to be questioning everyone about Jimmy Carter’s remarks, then they need to ask Republicans about Limbaugh’s pro-segregation remarks.

But they won’t.

    The GOP’s Hemorrhoid speaks yet again. I’m personally very happy for that. As long as they don’t renounce any of this batshit comnmentary, they continue to paint themselves as the fucked up fringe that they’re so vehement in denying. If you ever want to see a perfect example of social projection, just look at the conservatives in this country. They’re covered from head to toe with the same shit they’re trying to fling on anyone to the left of them.

    Rush is definitely a full-on racist, but it’s pretty obvious he was being sarcastic here. The quote is definitely taken out of context (what “guy” is he even referring to?). “This is Obama’s America” is his way of announcing that he’s now done being facetious.I can’t be sure though, b/c the Thinkprogress page doesn’t have this quote listed there, and it’s also not in the audio that they provide.Rush does this bit all the time – ‘Oh, you know what we should do? Give reparations to black people to make up for the actions of our ancestors! That will fix all of America’s racial problems. This is the liberals’ idea of America,’ etc. You really have to get the full clip with that fat bastard or you have no idea what he’s even getting at.Of course, chances are that whatever it was he was actually saying was only slightly less offensive/stupid than advocating segregation.

    Whoops; meant to say that the quote is listed, but not included in the audio. Unless I just totally missed it and am totally off my rocker today. Which is a definite possibility.
