Fall Fundraiser – Day One

It’s that time of year again. Our quarterly fundraiser to keep the blog lively and invariably sweet-smelling.

This time around, the first 20 donations get a free DVD copy of my no-budget indie movie The War Effort — a fun little video mockumentary I shot back in 2002 as a response to the flag-waving patriotism that followed 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan. I’ll even sign the DVDs, for what that’s worth. (Watch the first ten minutes here. The DVD has a crapload of commentaries, special features and other nonsense.)

So if you haven’t been too crushed by the economy, feel free to cram some wadded up bills into the jolly candy-like button below. Thanks for your support!

Speaking of fundraising, anyone else notice that this goddamn awesome blog is paying bills by advertising t-shirt companies run by wingnut who (among other things) want to shoot Mexican boarder hoppers and impeach President Obama? What the hell Bob?

Thanks for letting me know. I don’t sell these ads, so whenever one pops up, alert me and I’ll have it blocked.

A day late and all that–hope I’m in time to get the DVD. Paypal came from my usual other Douglas Adams-title email account.
