Issue 2

Following up on my Huffington Post item about Ohio’s Issue 2, this ought to be alarming:

A new Ohio Newspaper Poll finds Gov. Ted Strickland (D) barely edging challenger John Kasich (R), 48% to 47%.

The livestock board would be appointed by the governor. In other words, the board deciding on how livestock is raised and kept might be appointed by a Republican governor.

Eh I’m not too worried about Kasich. UC polls aren’t generally that reliable. They go with such small sampling sizes and the sampling is heavily done in the greater Cincinnati area, which of course is the most red part of the state. What is interesting is that a lot of Strickland’s future is riding on issue 3, the gambling issue. It’s been polling well, but now there are all these very Christy/conservative commercials airing that are scaring people. The sad part is that those ads act like its from Ohio concerned citizens, when in fact they are being put out by groups in West Virginia. Why? Well WV doesn’t want to lose gambling money to Ohio (Indiana has also been playing this game some, though not as rough as WV).

Sorry guys! Off topic!!!!! I can’t wait for Bob to post the over 10 minute clip of Jon Stewart’s show tonight! He just scewered fox new and Campbell Brown. He went off on the entire fox “news” team and how the blend of Beck, Hannity, Van Sustern, and all of their on air “news” people are one and the same!

I saw it Rox and I just for the life of me cannot understand why its viewers don’t see what’s going on here. If I saw a news channel do to W what Fox did to O on the singing kids – I would stop watching that channel immediately. It’s just crazy. Oh and Ms. Campbell sounding soooo incredulous that anyone would think that FOX is biased – what a dummy!
