Pat Buchanan.

Author of “The Affirmative Action Nobel” and “A Brief for Whitey” in which he wrote, “America has been the best country on earth for black folks.” You know, except for that slavery thing and the hundred-plus years of oppression following it.

So why is Pat her favorite? Quote, “because he says what we are all thinking.”

    So what we’re all thinking is “Agh! Darkies!”? Cos I thought I was thinking “Agh! Waffles!” but maybe my desiring breakfast foods has momentarily obscured my bigotry? Huh.

    It’s a pity Mika didn’t inherit her father’s intelligence. I still find it hard to believe they took Imus off the air for this daily waste of three hours, what a travesty!!

    On two occasions I have seen her father, Zbigniew Brzezinski*, guest on Rachel Maddow’s show. Each time she graciously made mention of Mika (positively, as in: “…father of MSNBC’s own Mika….”). When the camera cut back to his face, he would give a little nod and smile, but not pleasantly. Just a small, tight smile, and although I might be projecting, I could’ve sworn he was not pleased with the mention.* (…and every time I hear his name my brain, unbidden, begins playing the opening to that weird SNL sketch: “The Big News!! With Zbigniew Brzezinski…”)

    My favorite part of “A Brief for Whitey” is where he says it was here in America that slaves were introduced to, “Christian salvation… ” As if that should end any argument about whether or not slavery was right or wrong. Classic.(Incidentally, Bob – is there any way you can rig it so the links open up as a new page? It would be a lot more convenient. Thanks.

    Make no mistake,Pat Buchanan, his ilk, and lots of those repub strategists have a darker agenda to push.(pardon the pun,ha!)They serve a purpose, as they are there to promote the racist’s deepest thoughts i.e that the colour black, and hues in-between, is somehow inferior to the colour white vis-a vis Mika’s comment!To this day, how come none of the execs have suggested that Pat, Lou,and all the obvious ones tone down their racist rhetoric? How come,huh? Because they are the scapegoats who can further the repub-owned stations execs stronghold on the supremacy of white power, and claim that these guys are a) crazy b) entertainers c) any lame excuse which covers the reality!On another note, they fire the black PHD ‘liberal analyst’ on Fox because he is supposedly racist!It gets jokier…and uglier by the day!

    I really can’t watch. If anything I should know happens I find out online without having to suffer.Someone told me today that the Imus program has started and is better than MJ. Couldn’t be worse.

    I’ve got to add my all time favorite Pat Buchanan paraphrase which was spoken on the Chris Matthews show — Black people should be grateful to this country because it gave them food stamps, Section 8 and welfare. I damn near fell off my chair. This was during the firefighter case and both Pat and Chris were pissed at the state ruling. They saw it as reverse discrimination. Chris responded with something like what more could the Mexicans want — we let them own restaurants. I fired off an email that still has my laptop smoking.
