MSNBC is turning that weak SNL “Obama Has Done Nothing” sketch into a serious issue for the Obama administration.

Which is insane because MSNBC is mainly talking about that SNL sketch because they’re obligated to promote NBC shows.

Do you follow the very serious line of succession here?

MSNBC has to promote sister network NBC. SNL is on NBC. MSNBC has to promote SNL — airing sketch excerpts following every episode. SNL does an Obama sketch about how the president has evidently done “nothing.” MSNBC, while promoting SNL, turns this into a legitimate point of debate. Why? Ultimately because MSNBC has to promote NBC. Very serious!

Incidentally, hasn’t MSNBC spent the last six or nine months hosting “smackdown” debates about how the president is doing too much?

    Yep, they have. Craziness abounds. And I jsut got into an argument with a guy on another blog, where he is defending that skit and saying it is true.And I even showed him the Politifact article and he read as if the article was proving that SNL was being truthful.     While I don’t even watch MSNBC during the day, I did see this nonsense on Morning Joe the douchebag. I then turned on Hardball and their was spitty talking this same junk. It’s really embarrassing that Keith and Rachel are even on their network considering how much better both are than anyone else on MSNBC and NBC. It is comforting however to know that it’s their primetime lineup of Keith and Rachel that is largely responsible for their success. The fact that Matthews and Scarborough aren’t good enough to cut it in primetime is a confirmation that MSNBC is total bullshit! That said, SNL had to actually make shit up about Obama but, were able to use Palin’s own mangled words against her is also very good news for the Dems in general. I also like Ed Shultz. The rest of them are brain dead!

    I have come to the conclusion that the whole bunch of ‘em are fricking uneducated and inept!! They love to create a DRAMA about the most minuscule of things,at the viewing audiences expense of course.9 day stories. They make a brouhaha for 9 days saturating the same story with each anchor, and then briskly move on to something else that’s equally puerile. They don’t really educate the public much,its all about polls,sketches,who said what, who thinks what. God,for some intellectual stimulation. Tabloid rag tv,if you ask me.However, I do tune in to KeithO,and Rachel.
