Wow. It it really this exciting a debate, or what?

  • MrBrink

Just remember, as the GOP stand up there and defend private insurance corporations with all sorts of debunked industry-tailored talking points and obstruct even addressing and debating this neglect and decay happening in America right now– they have been DEAD wrong for the past 30 years. In the past 10 years, they’ve been at the heart of failed policies, especially, trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy 2%, as well as failed trade, regulatory, and consumer protections. Let’s not talk about War decisions and the handling of national security philosophy.Democrats have the highground, here, and they’re showing it from what I’ve seen so far.Republicans are drama queens spouting sinsiter conspiracy theories that don’t match up to reality and fact. The End Is Near! John McCain asked about the future of costs and coverage going on, “does anyone believe…??” “does anyone really believe…?”McCain just said he’s “not good at math,” but this healthcare plan is a “Bernie Madoff” scam, insinuating you should be put in prision for even suggesting a change to the status quo.Republicans(look at em’! all of them!)– these very same Republicans “debating” today are the very same Republicans that have been making national decisions who have set our disastrous national course that we’re now trying to begin to finally address and remedy as a civilized, intelligent, compassionate, and responsible government– a govenment responsible first and foremost to the people– as a party of radical anti-government kooks and religious free-market extremists with zero success as keepers of American trust and good governance.

    …obstruct!

  • J M Ashby

Yep, the same group of old farts who have been asleep on the job for the past three decades are now feigning protest for the sake of campaign contributions.

  • likala

Menendez, I think that’s his name, just put them in their place, saying how they’ve been saying no since FDR passed the New Deal and SS. He did a good job.

I just turned on CSpan. Who the fuck is this Enzi and what is he saying???

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

How many people would have been given free health care for the last 8 years if we didn’t go to war with Iraq. Fuck you old man…

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

I worry immensly about you fucktards.

  • jane

Fucking fucker is who Enzi is. I think it’s waaaaaay past his (bed time) term limit.Oh Bob, why don’t the strike tags work?

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

Oh looky who it is… BAUCUS !!!

  • Kat

I’ve been at work all day, so I obviously missed the memo about the Senate circle jerk.

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

I would like to pass a law to buy Mitch McConnell a set of lips and a chin, and a brain. Do I hear any nays?

  • Anne

I just turned CSPAN on and Mitch McChinless has already put me to sleep. I love all his dramatic pauses!

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

I think that Mitchie is scared shit and he is begging for his political life right now. He just admitted that its 40 vs 60.

  • Kat

Exactly 60. Right down party lines. At least Liberdouche didn’t fuck it up.

  • roxsteady

Who crossed over to our side? Republicans Nays were 39?

  • ceu

no one “crossed to our side”. One of the GOPers missed the vote. Heard it was either Voinovitch or Baucus.

  • ceu

so now they’ll go home, eat turkey, snooze, then return & give the same speeches passing for debate again…

  • roxsteady

    Did Senator Byrd vote?

  • http://willpen.wordpress.com/ Willpen

Joe Lieberman is hell bent on keeping his pockets lined with health insurance monies. The State of Connecticut had better start getting ready to boot his ass.

  • roxsteady

I saw Baucus and I head them call Voinovich’s name but, I couldn’t hear if he answered.

  • http://broadwaycarl.blogspot.com Broadway Carl™

Yes, Voinovich did not vote. Profile in courage.

  • roxsteady

You’re right Ceu! It wa Voinovich who didn’t vote. And look at how that dick Joe Liberman used the press again to inject his Deputy Droop Along ass into the middle of this!

  • roxsteady

The worst was having to listen to Blanche Lincoln and Mary Landrieu blather on about how this vote doesn’t mean they’ll vote for the final bill. Fuck you! Stop posturing and kissing the ass of people who will never vote for you Blanche! The teabaggers are linning up to get you. As for Landrieu, she’s currently under investigation by the Senate Ethics Committe for a $30,000 disgorgment to the Treasury. Let’s hope this is the beginning of the end for both of them.

  • ceu

We’re ready, Willpen. We were ready in 2006.And while, admittedly, Lieberman is a dick, at least he voted to have the debate, unlike 40 other Senators…so maybe we could beat up on another state for a change. I nominate Oklahoma or South Carolina or Arizona.

  • J M Ashby

I think anyone who votes no, republican or democract, will be in for a shock during their next campaigns.

  • Kat

I vote for Arizona, ceu. They have McCain and Kyl. Plus, I think SC needs a break after dealing with their philandering governor.
