OK this is very weird timing. I read your post after just seeing this via twitter on the Weekly Standard claiming that the Senate HCR bill will be used to funnel money to ACORN. Talk about the right grasping for straws now.

Well, Bob, if you had said in the last seventy years, I would have said Hitler’s race baiting conspiracy theory that the Jews had taken over the Capitalistic world was far bigger.But I will say that even though the hate against ACORN is racially motivated; I think that many people do not understand that for most white people, it’s more based on jealousy than actual racism. And it’s not the rich, white people who feel this jealousy. It’s common, everyday white people who feel like they can’t say anything or do anything without it being labeled as racism.There are two sides to every conflict, and whenever I meet someone that most liberals would label a racist, his story is usually that he is jealous because blacks get privileges that he doesn’t, get help that he doesn’t, get financial aid that he doesn’t, get jobs or promotions before him because they are colored and some sort of “quota” needs to be enforced.I’m not saying they are right for feeling that way, but I think you guys lose sight of what really drives tensions in this country sometimes. The story of why Black America feels the way it does has been told , is being told, and SHOULD be told repeatedly. But being white in America does not somehow make us guilty of the sins of our forefathers, and I think that, more than anything else, is what drives the jealousy of most white people.We have our own sins we are guilty of, but if this country actually had the balls to talk about the racial divide, I think you liberals would be surprised at what you would learn. Instead, we don’t talk about it, and we continue to use convenient labels whenever we are uncomfortable.I will probably be called a racist for saying that by someone here. But that will just further prove my point that they don’t have the balls to talk about reality.

Being a minority myself, it is difficult to get ANY help from the government when you are low income or poor. There just isn’t any there. Especially since Bush took the funds that used to help people (which wasn’t very much anyway) and put that money into his Faith Based Office.It’s pathetic.
