More Republican Terrorism Hypocrisy

Back in July of 2007, Congress passed a bill called the Improving America’s Security Act of 2007, which implemented more of the recommendations from the 9/11 Commission. One the provisions included $250 million for airport security.

Guess what?

Eight Republican Senators, however, voted against passage, including Sens. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), Tom Coburn (R-Okl.) Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), James Inhofe (R-Okl.) and Jon Kyl (R-Ari.).

Jim DeMint is really becoming a ring leader, isn’t he? Since they’re raising money on terrorism, and it’s good for their poll numbers, are you thinking what I’m thinking? Maybe they’re not as interested in smoking out evildoers as they claim to be.

Ah so more money will solve the problem, not the fact that people actually need to do their jobs.

Heck, Schumer wants almost half of that ( $100 million ) just to secure the trial of KSM in NYC.

Anybody hear a troll scratching at the door?Part of that 250 million, you contrarian piece of shit, might have gone to better equipment or perhaps more training for the TSA’s we already have on hand. And it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the $9 billion that literally disappeared in Iraq that went to contractors that, by the way, were given assloads of money and never did their jobs.

I would like to see Nate Silver do some empirical analysis of how much each evildoer is worth to the GOP. My guess is, at least $25 mil, all tolled.

I’m pretty sure that the airline security problems could be solved if we just cut taxes.
