President Snowe Doesn’t Approve

Olympia Snowe doesn’t like the Medicare buy-in deal.

Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) says a Medicare buy-in approach will be a hard sell with her. She told reporters this afternoon that she’s not inclined to support the idea, currently being discussed by liberal and conservative Democrats seeking a compromise on the public option.

I need a drink.

I am sick of this woman. When does she get kicked to the curb?I think I need a drink or twelve.

MOTHERFUCKER! I’m really fucking tired of these people deciding on a whim that they don’t like an idea that hasn’t even been hashed out yet. ENOUGH!

  • Jan

Well Carl she wants her TRIGGER. Hopefully, when this is over she is the most hated senator in the country.

Oh gee it will be a hard sell for her? Well fuck her in her stupid ice-queen ass.As Carl said, its on a whim that horrible human beings such as Snowe decide that people’s lives aren’t worth saving.

“people’s lives aren’t worth saving.”orLet them eat pavement.

I…just vote no, then. But allow it to come to a vote! I don’t get it. I do not get the filibuster. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea to someone at some point, but so did slavery. Can you imagine if the 45% of people who voted for McCain were able to say, prior to Election Day, that the election couldn’t go forward because they weren’t “inclined to support” Obama? It is freaking madness.

  • Anne

Dammit! Each day it’s some new Senator trying to derail progress. Who will it be tomorrow?

hey…guys…you need this woman’s vote. Don’t pull a Keith Olbermann and completely alienate her. Haven’t you ever learned that you attract more flies to honey than shit?At this point, if he can get Snowe in on the Public option, Harry Reid should be offering to pleasure Snowe hourly with his tongue for the rest of her life.

  • Hielo

Well PPP, I think your advice sucks. At what point do we tell these ego-trippers to just fuck off? I am so sick of this childish, spoiled-brat behavior that I want to force the issue on the filibuster.Let these asswipes ponder how their name will appear in the history books. My guess: They will show their true pussyness.

  • roxsteady

FUCK OFF OLIVE OIL! And, I’m sorry but, if you look up the word Hagg, Snowe’s picture should be there.

  • staci

Actually PPP, the saying is “you can attract more flies with honey than you can with vinegar”. As you may well know, flies LOVE shit.Nobody needs Snowe’s vote; Harry Reid needs to try to corral the dems although I don’t see how he’ll pull this one off. Between the ones that have been bought off and the others that have a new imagined bitch everyday, how can this ever pass?

what Poop’s saying is that if we alienate enough of them, we won’t get anything ’cause the bill (whatever it ends up being) will NEVER come to the floor for a vote. And doing nothing is not an option – the current situation is not sustainable.Try to remember that there aren’t 60 Democratic Senators and 60 is what is needed to get cloture. And before anyone jumps on me for capitulating or whatever, I’m not. I want Medicare for all. I also want an end to rescission, pre-existing conditions, outrageously high premiums & co-pays, insurance companies making money hand over fist, etc., but…we ain’t getting anything if we tell everyone to fuck off.

  • Hielo

@ ceuMy advice to you: Don’t play poker.I am convinced that these attention-starved, bribe-taking, shit weasels will fold if Reid calls their bluff. The Medicare extension is a great foot-in-the door for Medicare for all. Better than the watered down PO. Lieberman now thinks he has won and will go with it. Total asshole.

  • Ref

PPP must be David Broder in disguise. There is not now, nor has there been ni this Congress, any actual reason for the Dems to NEED support of any Republicans.

  • ceu

All we need right now is to get a damn bill voted out of the Senate. There weren’t 60 votes for cloture so NOTHING was going to happen – the bill was going to die on the floor – without compromise and if ya piss off a spiteful Senator. That’s reality. The real action on HCR will happen in the conference committee & it would be good if there are at least 50 votes for something decent when the conference committee bill comes to a vote in the Senate.
