Quote of the Day

“Patrick Swayze, Farrah Fawcett and John Hughes died and Orly Taitz, Dick Cheney and that idiot who wrote those Twilight books didn’t.”
—Chez Pazienza in his recap of the mostly shitty 2009

This is why I love Chez.

I’m just waiting for someone to put together a “year in tears” video compilation. Then again I don’t know if I could stand that much Beck and Boehner.

Same thoughts crept into mind when I watched the ‘Dead Celebrities’ episode of South Park a few weeks back. All I was thinking is why couldn’t (sith lord) Cheney be in one of those seats as everyone that passed away is waiting for Michael Jackson to cross over.

Why is this the quote of the day? Because you are hoping for someone’s death?Having visited the link, and actually read his entire post, Chez might not like seeing this one quote ripped from it. It seems seriously out of context, and makes him look like he’s hoping for these people to die.Bob, what the fuck is going on? I don’t know that I’ve seen you ever wishing bad things on anyone, or rejoicing over another’s misery. Yet twice in two days, you’ve done it.I’d expect right and left wing extremists to go this far, but I never envisioned you as being one of those.Maybe I’m being too serious here…I don’t know, but the tone seems a bit malevolent to me.

Wow, lighten up Triple P. Very serious! >_>That said, I disagree with a lot of what Chez said.

The decades that included the Cuban Missile Crises and continued threat of nuclear holocaust were not as shitty as the one just ending. George Bush in 2000, the Twin Towers in 2001 . . . and then things just got worse. No, I am very happy to welcome in a new series of years. Now, if only PPP would stop being such a miserable dick.
