Rat Bastards

I hope you’re not an Aetna customer.

Health insurance giant Aetna is planning to force up to 650,000 clients to drop their coverage next year as it seeks to raise additional revenue to meet profit expectations.

In a third-quarter earnings conference call in late October, officials at Aetna announced that in an effort to improve on a less-than-anticipated profit margin in 2009, they would be raising prices on their consumers in 2010. The insurance giant predicted that the company would subsequently lose between 300,000 and 350,000 members next year from its national account as well as another 300,000 from smaller group accounts.

Best healthcare system ever! Hey, I wonder how many wingnut teabaggers are Aetna customers. Good luck to any of them who have preexisting conditions.

Also, I wonder if anyone will ask Joe Lieberman about this since he’s taken $112,000 from Aetna over the years. His ninth largest contributor.

A health care system designed to maximize profits has no chance of actually providing quality health care.

and our congress wants to keep it this way….when will we grow up as a country?brutly is absolutely correct.

The Aetna is also laying off workers – 625 earlier this month with another 1400 or so to be laid off by early 2010. In all they’re eliminating 4000 jobs.Seems that they’re screwing everyone over…

I hope someone brings this up to Lieberman on the floor of the Senate and embarrasses that little, weaselly scumbag into second guessing himself on his stance. Senator from Aetna indeed.

Isn’t that awesome? They know a way around rescission. Just keep raising rates until people stop buying your product. I’m willing to bet regulation of that is not in the current health care legislation.I hope I lose this bet.

All,Do yourselves a favor and don’t read the fellating WSJ “article” on Lieberman’s maverickiness linked to on HuffPo. It’ll make your eyes bleed.

This is no surprise to me. Throughout my years of dealing with insurance companies CIGNA was the absolute worst, second in line was AETNA, and third was Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. They all suck!I must however take offense at your choice of words! I’m a self described rat bastard but I’m hardly as low as any of the above!
