Debunking Drudge’s ‘Record Lows’ Meme

Contrary to what you’re seeing on Drudge or hearing on the radio, just because there are record low temperatures doesn’t mean that the climate crisis doesn’t exist. Here’s a nifty chart from the National Center for Atmospheric Research:

Drudge expects us to believe him on the climate crisis even though he’s unable to grasp that the United States isn’t the globe. Therefore, temperatures in the United States aren’t indicative of the global climate. Drudge is smart!

    I have a solution. I’ll begin by trading fifteen degrees of Wisconsin uber-coldness to the south for fifteen degrees of their warmness. Furthermore, I’ll give the north and south poles each five extra degrees of Wisconsin uber coldness, without anything in return.There, that ought to fix it.

    I recently left St. Croix, USVI (where it’s 85 degrees) and I’m currently in Toledo, Ohio (where it’s 18)so clearly there is NO GLOBAL WARMING.Of course, when I fly back to the Caribbean then there will be.It all evolves around my personal location.You just have to understand the logic of it all, Bob.

    They spill oil in the fucking Galapagos Islands, of all places, leak radioactive byproduct into the ground, dump industrial sludge directly into the Great Lakes, breed and slaughter millions of genetically altered/chemically-injected animals a day, pump out all kinds of shit(mercury, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide) into the atmosphere by the billions of tons per year prompting “bad air day warnings” from California to Texas to China all while cutting down the Amazon rain forest, and they have the poker-faced nerve to openly deny that we, people, are changing the environment.But yeah. Let’s listen to the idiots who tell us that all of this activity is perfectly natural and sustainable in an ecosystem, or BUBBLE.Just us “liberals” trying to undermine “growth” and corporate profits on the only planet we know that can provide the essentials of LIFE.Assholes and morons.Smoke up!
