Dammit! I haven’t even seen all the awesome movies from 2009…now I am falling behind in 2010.

What! This wasn’t even on my radar and now I’ve been hit with an early morning colonoscopy of awesome. Which is nice.

Liam as Zeus = teh total awesome!!!This looks like it is really going to put the original 1981 version to shame (which I admit I have on DVD). Oh and Sam Worthington as Perseus? He starred in Avatar also. This guy is becoming one of the next big things in Hollywood.

Neeson, is more awesome. The Kraken looked like the Rancor’s bigger brother.

took them long enough. I hope the trailer isn’t more exciting than the movie.

Whoever put this movie together better hope he had really put out, ’cause Avatar spoiled me. Crappy CGI was always disappointing, but now it’s going to be downright insulting. Cameron raised the bar pretty high.

The Kraken is pretty cool….looks like some stuff we saw in Lord of the Rings films, created by WETA in New Zealand. Remember the Mouth of Sauron character? See any resemblance? Definitely an ewww factor….However, Liam is always the coolest. Totally psyched to see Clash of the Titans redone!

Oops I was wrong…the monster actually reminds me MORE of one from Star Wars….that’s where I’d seen it before. While there is something to be said for keeping monsters in the same “class” similar….there is still room for originality. For example, the orcs in the Lord of the Rings trilogy were outstanding…much better even than my imagination. And I have rarely found any movie to outdo my imagination.Sort of off topic….am I the only one in the world that thinks Avatar was good but not great, visually, I mean? It definitely was beautiful and interesting visually. But it just didn’t blow me out of the water like everyone else. What do y’all think?

Oy. I worry.

I’m looking forward to assessing the new Medusa scene. I feel that NOTHING will surpass the old version’s segment, but I don’t know…this flick is looking tight, right now.

Oh, and Neeson is KILLING IT this generation.Peace be unto him, man. He’s had it rough, but he’s giving us all some roles to remember.

And yes, I recommend everyone to go see Avatar in 3D.It’s a visual feast.

Holy Fucking Shit! This DOES look awesome! Still, while I love CGI when it is done properly (which seems to be seldom), I will forever love the charm and warmth of great stop motion animation, particualrly the work of the marvellous Ray Harryhausen, whose Sinbad films and monster movies filled my childhood with great late night viewing fodder.
