The Democrats are Almost Entirely Shut Down

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is engaged with House progressives, trying to tease out a solution to the health care reform impasse–but he says that at the highest levels of the Senate and the White House, there’s still no plan, and he doubts whether President Obama will insert himself forcefully into the process.

All of this because of the teabaggers and Scott Brown. You know, I would be writing something like: You deserve whatever electoral shit storm comes your way, douches! But this bill isn’t about them. It’s about us. And they’re screwing millions upon millions of people because they’re scared into silence. Pathetic.

    And that breeds apathy. Apathetic voters will not turn out this fall ……….. or in 2012!We’re totally fucked and don’t seem to know it.Did the Republicans do this to us? NO!We did it to ourselves!The circular firing squad achieved it’s goal. Hat’s off to the FDL crowd.

    I really believe that the majority of the folks that voted for Obama/ voted dem want the more radical change he/they are assuming won’t fly so I agree. It’s very sad. It’s a waste of rare opportunity.

    I know i sound like the proverbial broken record. But there is no reason to try and make sense of any of this unless we get real here. It is only about the . . .FUCKING MONEY!Thing about how greed has corrupted our entire system. (And I think well-regulated capitalism is good). Congress runs on bribery. The media is controlled by the big bucks. And, of course, the Supreme Court has been appointed by the corporate masters.Come on. There is no hope unless we can return to the fundamentals that made our country so good for such a long time. Greed is rapidly destroying it.Time to protest!!
