To the Women of Massachusetts

Please turn out in massive numbers tomorrow to vote against this empty-suited idiot.

The crowd responded enthusiastically as Brown made his case against AG Martha Coakley (D)—even interrupting frequently to make Brown’s case for him.

“I’ll tell you what,” Brown said, using a megaphone to address the crowd. “There’s negative campaigning, and then there’s malicious campaigning.”

“She’s malicious!” a man in the crowd cried out. “She’s a phony!” shouted another. “Shove a curling iron up her butt!” a third man interjected a few moments later.

Brown, upon hearing this remark, smiled.

I guess we know which side of the question he comes down on.

On camera, with microphones in his face, Brown called Coakley “fiesty” after Monday night’s debate. I saw it with my own eyes on the local Fox station.I thought that nothing in recent times could top McCain’s air quotes around “women’s health” during one of the debates, but I was wrong.Brown should start wearing a cup.

Coakley’s internals are showing her winning.FiveThirtyEight.com has several takes on the numbers. Bottom line is that it is hard to predict who will show up to vote in a special election like this one. Some of Nate’s analysis show Coakley winning.

The wingnuts have spent the past week claiming that this special election is all about obama. If coakley wins, I wonder if they will pretend they have said that.

According to the Emily’s List radio ads, Brown doesn’t feel that insurance companies should be required to cover mammograms or maternity care & also feels that hospitals should have the right to refuse to give a rape victim a morning after pill. (I guess she’s supposed to, I don’t know, hop off the examining table & go hunting for a hospital that will help her?)Smiling at the curling iron comment seems to be part of a pattern.

Local talk radio hosts seem to think that it is okay for hospitals to clean up rape victims and then send them off to another hospital for the pill. They say this in all seriousness. All week they have been saying that Coakley hates Catholics because she is targeting Brown over this. When Coakley points out that we have separation of church and state in this country they dismiss her with a sarcastic guffaw.
