Lawrence O’Donnell on Today’s Morning Joe

This was an unbelievable display. I’m not talking about O’Donnell, but former Rummy speechwriter Mark Thiessen playing the “Who us?” card regarding 9/11. The Republicans are pathological regarding those attacks. They’re in utter denial. And as soon as Lawrence O’Donnell calls out their bullshit, Scarborough cuts him off and throws to commercial.

Thiessen, by the way, has been justifying torture for some time now. Most recently in an online back-and-forth with Matt Yglesias, Thiessen insisted that waterboarding isn’t like the Spanish Inquisition’s waterboarding because the Bushies didn’t tie down their victims. Good people.

Nevertheless, I love it how Scarborough constantly plays the “civil discourse” card and the “I’m not a radical ideologue” card — until the subject of terrorism and torture comes up. Then he’s shouting people down (as he did with Krystia Freeland), and cutting people off, and calling them crazy (O’Donnell), and saying they’re too stupid to be on television (Jesse Ventura).

Spare us the self-righteous lessons in civil debate, Joe.

One more thing. For the record, the Library Tower plot in Los Angeles was thwarted long before KSM was captured, so it’s a lie to suggest that waterboarding KSM somehow prevented the attack.

That was excellent. I clicked on some of the other links too and then more that were related on Youtube. I love the one where Zbigniew Brzezinski calls him “Stunningly superficial” that’s classic TV. I wonder if Joe waterboarded that intern that was found dead in his office when he was in the congress?

What is amazing about this clip is O’Donnell is just making the same charge Thiessen makes in his book title, but I guess IOKIYAR. Classic “liberal” media BS. If a Republican says it, that’s fine–if a liberal says it…cue the pearl clutching.Same thing happened with death panel. The same “liberal” media were all to happy to advance and cover ad nauseum the LIE that the Health Care Bill had death panels—but when Alan Grayson made a statement of FACT about the status quo that Republicans are supporting by their obstruction, then “liberal” media went nuts. Can’t wait for the IOKIYAR media clutch their pearls again when Markos’ book comes out.

Speaking of books, Bob, I bought yours on Amazon around Christmas and it hasn’t shown up yet, it’s 3 weeks past when they said it would be shipped. I guess I’ll have to contact Amazon and see what’s up. I’m anxious to read it.

I like how this video says O’Donnell is a “conspiracy theorist.” As we all know, O’Donnell was right. Let’s not forget about this:http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/10/august6.memo/

Amazing. Scarborough is such a scumbag. Thiessen goes on uninterrupted, but when challenged by O’Donnell, Scarborough mumbles through Lawrence’s bashing checklist to confuse the situation. He even took offense at Mika bristling at the title of that nimrod’s book.Fuck Scarborough. By the way, does his mom dress him? What the fuck is with the red vest?!

Scarborough has a very short fuse, I’ve seen his head almost explode several times. He is a bully too, talks over people and laughs while people are trying to make their points. When anyone screws with his narrative, man he just goes crazy….he becomes frantic, like a kid.

  • GOVCHRIS1988

Oh that was good. Telling how Scarborough went into the mic saying that he would interview Thiessen by himself.

Thiessan v.s. Ware. Seek that video. It’s all you need to recognize the nature of the bootlicking groundhog/Republicon war mongering apologist. Why bother watching MSNBC’s morning show drivel? It’s a vanity showcase where the host and guests display themselves like zoo animals. The show is free of anything truly substantive and has been for the last two years. Why do I want to see a bunch of self-aggrandizing media dorks chit-chatting like the commoners do around the proverbial water cooler? Started with great promise, despite its host, then the presidential primaries began and it changed its tone and intellectual output. Pure fluff in the absolute.P.S.Who the fuck EVER spoke near a water cooler? In all my years of interning and working for a living, it is the cafeteria where all the small talk occurs, not at a god damned water cooler in near to the middle of the cubicles. Shit, there are more convos taking place in the washrooms than at water coolers. Whoever started that meme needs to get punched in the belly for being an out-of-touch nerd.

What you guys should also have seen was a previous segment this morning. Donnie Duetsch was ripping Sarah Palin and Scarborough got so mad he started trying to compare her to Obama. Donnie said that she doesn’t have the intellect of Obama. Joe then started mocking Obama’s Hope and Change slogan. Really pathetic.

KO just had O’Donnell on to explain the whole scenario without being interrupted. And Scarborough apparently thinks he knows better because, why? He was a Congressman in the mid 90′s?

  • JDS

I agree with Lexaburn 100%.I can’t watch it and I wish everyone else would stop. I realized it made NO sense to start my day feeling frustrated or angry. When I stopped watching I found out I missed nothing meaningful and that I had only watched too long hoping for it to become what I thought it would be when it began! Now when I even see Mika or Joe in a clip or ad I have a wave of nausea.Really.

Olbermann let O’Donnell get his say in on his show, I for one am glad that he pointed out that flying planes into buildings is no longer a likely attack because the people on the planes will not allow it to happen. When I first heard about the so-called attacks on the Liberty Towers (formerly known as the Library Towers), I knew it was a total lie from Bush and co.
