The Contradictions of Sarah Palin

My third and hopefully final Palin post of the day. Last night, she referred to the bailouts as a “slush fund” and “crony capitalism” and “public irresponsibility.”

For the record, she supported the bailouts.

She later asked, “Where are the consequences? They who helped us get into this worst economic situation since the Great Depression. Where are the consequences?”

Uh-huh. If the press were allowed to ask her questions, they should ask her if she supports financial regulatory reform and the $90 billion fee on the banks. I would wager that she’s against both.

Someone on the “news” shows this morning said that Palin is good at stirring up a crowd. She reminds me of the fluff girls that are used to give men erections before photo shoots.

Joan Walsh’s article nails it. She’s basically “mean and dumb.” She’s a pea brain who couldn’t even remember answers to questions she’d received in advance. This woman is a complete moron. Her arrogance in even thinking she could be President is a blatant diplay of her stunning ignorance and lack of self awareness. And I didn’t have to look at my hand to type that. It just popped into my head!

  • eljefejeff

Palin is as mean as Ann Coulter and dumber than Bush. But at least she hates Obama and pretends to love God so that’s all that matters.

  • eve

about 1,100 people attended — that is allwhy was this shit televised?a trade show keynote gets a bigger audience and their audience often pays way more to be there than the Palin audience did

  • kansasdem

And all this talk of revolution ………. WTF is that????????????Out of control government spending???????? Be exact, what programs do you want to cut?Tell the effing truth and watch the seniors disappear!

  • eve

And this liar of all liars claims she will return the speaking fee to the “cause”what do you want to bet that means to her own PAC?

  • roxsteady

Exactly Eve! Let’s just see how motivated the MSM is to flesh out this donation and where it goes!

The trouble is, Bob, both sides are pretty much looking like hypocrites right now. Every politician with a lollipop and a kiss for baby is talking about how horrible it was that we had to bail out those banks and AIG. Yet the bill in the Senate is stalled, and if nothing passes, Palin won’t stand out so much. She’ll just look like ALL the rest of them.

  • Willpen

This woman is a danger to all that is sacred in this country. She is mean and vindictive and the scariest part is that there are fucking stupid people out there that listen to her. This is how shit happens. This is how we have been left with a history full of Joe McCarthys and other such tyrants. Sarah Palin scares that crap out of me because there are enough stupid fucking people in this world that would hand her the nuke-u-lar codes in a heart beat. God help us all.

  • jhw22

But if I read that article you linked correctly, he cites a section of her book as her support of the bailout. But see, that’s her GHOSTWRITER’S position. People get them confused all the time. You can tell those aren’t her thoughts becaus it kind of makes sense. ;) Jennifer

  • roxsteady

Actually, there aren’t enough people who like her to out nuber those of us who don’t! That was made clear in several recent polls and Republicans themselves don’t even want her to run. I wouldn’t be afraid of her running unless I was a Republican because she will certainly fire up the left and the youth vote. She’s against repealing DADT and is against gay marriage, 2 things the under 30 crowd are not down with!

  • jhw22

I am in the camp of not wanting her to run. It’s not her winning that I fear, it’s the vitirol and empowerment of really dangerous thought that I fear. She still says Obama pals around with terrorists while saying he is weak on terrorism. I fear for him when she gets her base whipped into a frenzy. It’s like when Rachel told one of the members of the Dick Armey that he is bad for America. I think Palin is and I don’t want her getting a chance to rile up the worst parts of America.Jennifer

Sadly, that ship has sailed. She’s reaching back into her hate filled adgenda from the 2008 VP campaign. I think it will give Independents and Moderates an eye full. I read that the banned the Obama as Hitler signs last night. That would explain a lot. They can’t scrub these loons from their movement. They won’t be able to censor all of their hatred. It will be an education for the people who don’t know what they’re really all about. They’ll turn away the same why they turn away from the klan.

  • roxsteady

That’s they banned and the same way.

  • Willpen

It’s not that I think she will win, it’s just what she will do to a political atmosphere that is already rotting from within.Like a few of you have already stated, she is going to pull out all the racist and heinous talking points that she has already used. Accept this time around she will have no Steve Schmidt to stick something in her mouth to shut her up.Then there is the wonderful press that just can’t put enough of her on their front pages just because she sells news. Her self serving ways will do her well. She will be that much more dangerous when she feels emboldened.

  • jhw22

    @Willpen, EXACTLY!Jennifer

Sarah Palin scares that crap out of me because there are enough stupid fucking people in this world that would hand her the nuke-u-lar codes in a heart beat. And the sad part is, she’d have to write down the nuke-u-lar codes on her hand.

  • http://broadwaycarl.blogspot.com Broadway Carl

…this time around she will have no Steve Schmidt to stick something in her mouth to shut her up.And that will be her downfall. Without a muzzle she’s going to step in it big, she won’t be able to help herself. If you’ve ever seen “Singin’ In The Rain,” think Lina Lamont in the final scene.

  • Willpen

@ Carl… Singing in the Rain is one of my favorite movies of all times. Please don’t make me equate it with Sarah Palin. It would kill me…lol…

Bob, you are not going to believe the video I have. I’m just getting around to viewing it now that I’m home from the SuperBowl party.WHO DAT!

  • Matt Osborne

Oh, and I almost forgot: I have learned that the Gaylord (heh) hotel and convention center was built with public funds.
