The Sarah Palin Fantasy

The level of delusion about Sarah Palin is staggering. Rich Lowry complete with starbursts:

She’s had since September, 2008 to study. And yet she still has to scrawl “tax cuts” on her hand so she won’t forget. Dream on, wingnuts.

As Chucky T said today,”she has different rules” in response to Andrea Mitchell saying something like… “wouldn’t we be taking this more seriously if it were Mitt Romney”.Chuck didn’t qualify why or who determined that she gets different rules to play with the msm press.

“It’s not rocket science to get up on national issues.”Nope, it’s economics, law, policy, international relations, and even basic civics. She doesn’t just need to learn how to sound smart and leader-y, she needs to really understand a wide variety of very complicated issues at several levels. And she needs to do it in less than 2 years. Good luck with that, Sarah!

Can someone PLEASE tell me the difference in reading from a prepared script resting on a podium and reading a prepared script on a projection screen? And along with her high school girl snarkiness, immaturity and intellectual level, we can now add high school level cribbing. Honestly, if you need notes, just use 3×5 note cards!I am so exasperated by this girl-woman. How does ANYONE take her seriously?! Damn you McCain!Stop by http://palingates.blogspot.com … they make a convincing case for Palin faking her pregnancy with Trig… Inquiring minds want to know…There… now that my pettiness and immaturity has matched hers, I feel much better… Oh, and I was never almost a heartbeat away from the presidency. Nor am I the “face” of an entire political party.Keep goin’ on this heading repubs! You’re doin’ great!

Thor must bless Stewart and Colbert. Their take-downs tonight of Palin and Rushbo were awesome — especially Colbert.I feel better now.

I feel better after seeing Colbert, but…The reason that Palin will always win this is because she could care less. As long as people show up to listen to her and she is making money, She Doesn’t Care.I am sure that phsychologists have a name for people like her, but I find her fascinating.I have none of her instincts, none. I don’t think that any of us do. The fact is, she is the alcoholic in the family that we wring our hands about and get angry with. Our words don’t matter to her or to her groupies (drinking buddies) so we really should stop.Don’t even get me started on why I think that she didn’t appear pregnant with the latest baby and waited until the last minute to go to the hospital. Let’s just say that I believe that she doesn’t think that “retarded” babies deserve the same nutrition and care as other babies. Until, they start to help her to become popular.

Ah, so “glad” you brought up Caribou Barbie. My hometown had the dubious “honor” of having her speak to her loving Palinistas last night. She made the front page of the paper.http://www.redding.com/news/2010/feb/08/you-betcha-redding-gets-raucous-for-palin/There were some protesters out there (my favorite sign “Beauty Fades – Stupid is Forever”) but unfortunately, Redding is probably the reddest county other than Orange.Fascinating that no cameras or recordings of her “speech” were allowed, hmmmmmmmmmm? Please, someone nuke this woman off the face of the earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the key to understanding their constant bullshitting with regards to Mrs. Palin is recognizing the pathology. They’re bluffing, obviously, as if they’re in a perpetual poker game. They do not take the American people seriously, which, really, goes without saying. The cynicism on display whenever a wingnut speaks of her political aspirations is hip-deep. She’s nothing more than a rhetorical and intellectual commodity to these people, like their so-called “fiscal con-servatism” and “family values.” She’s something with which to reengage in the so-called “culture war.”With all that said, I myself have chosen to embrace the enigma that is Sarah Palin. Where some of you see a harridan that talks smack, I see a slightly above-average woman focused on what works best for her and her family and friends. Yes, she’s a outright grifter, but honestly, is she unique in this regard? The fact that she’s bullshitting the American electorate in a FOXy manner does not necessarily betray anything malicious, but speaks to her confidence that we’re smart enough to know better. I do not believe she has any REAL political ambitions. I believe something rocked her during the McCain campaign, and with that she grew tired of the bullshit. She’s pursuing that which she feels destined for, which is simply a personality. That’s it. There’s nothing more to it than that. I’m sure some of you here have read her book. Well, I haven’t, so this is all speculation, but from all my observations, she’s as much a participant in the media roller-coaster that has become a part of her life as the rest of us. I feel she is selling herself short settling on FOX, but I guess she is now intrinsically tied to inflammatory politics, and with that, her appeal has waned. Politically, it was a mistake for her to accept McCain’s offer as V.P., but she’s milking the outcome to the best of her abilities.I tell you, the woman is completely harmless. It is the three individuals you see in the video and abroad on television i.e. media swine that are the problem. They are the real enemy, not former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.Trust me. I’m a doctor. ;) I’m sure I’m not saying anything you all do not know deep down.
